TBL Australia 4×06: PHYSICAL CHALLENGE!
Tonight on Fat Camp Australia: Fitzroy Island Edition… it’s Challenge night! For the first time this year!
Certain places are referring to the challenge as the “Water Torture” challenge. Classy! I wonder if it’s because the show went there first…
Shannan and Michelle arrive at the resort to find out what the game has thrown at them this time.
The bracelets get explained. In excruciatingly slow fashion to Michelle.
They explain to Michelle why they picked Meaghan for the Nothing bracelet. And Michelle thought they were smart for picking Holly for the double since it’ll be good motivation for her to go hard.
Shannan’s happy Meaghan’s got it because he knows she is a threat and the boys should be worried!
Michelle has her chubbies out on the lawn in the dark, first they warm up and then have towel-tug-o-war.
Andrew and Nathan are very competitive with each other while the sisters are actually doing okay. Holly’s actually managing to pull her weight for once!
All the couples head off to the beach for the challenge. People are all mystified as to what it could be. I guess they don’t watch the teaser ads.
Ajay’s waiting in a nice vaguely-floral looking dress.
They’ll compete as couples but before they start they have an important decision to make – which of them is the strongest and which is the fastest?
There’s 10 blocks, one for each of the “strongest” of the couples. There’s also a log with two 30 litre buckets attached to it.
When Ajay starts the race the “fastest” of the couples has to race into the sea and collect water from past a floating marker. They can then return and pour the water into any bucket they want!
Meaghan wants to win the challenge to show that women can do anything and to wipe out all the boys would be awesome!
Whoever wins will get a 3KG advantage at the weigh-in. An extra 3KG will be taken off their weight.
Should Andrew and Nathan win they will get to choose who gets the 3KG advantage as they already have immunity.
Amanda’s not got any water in her buckets yet and she’s already struggling!
Jodi and a couple of the others target Mel early on. Jodi seems really pleased with herself, saying she’d picked them as the weakest.
And yes, Mel does drop it first because everyone kept pouring their water into one bucket, not evenly into the buckets, so it was up to about 20 litres in one bucket, which is about 20kg all on one side of her body. If you’ve ever tried such a thing you’ll know it’s not easy in the best of circumstances, nevermind when you’re quite unfit and have been getting flogged to death in exercise for a week or so!
Tiffany targets Sharif first, purely because he’s in Shannan’s training team.
Sharif hollers at them that if he ever gets immunity they won’t be getting it from him!
Ramses is also complaining about everyone targeting him, too. Saying he has an injury and they know it. Maybe you should have had Tania do the holding then, stupid?
Bob’s struggling a lot. He even begs his daughter-in-law to put some water in his other bucket to counterbalance it!
Meanwhile there’s a standoff in front of Nathan. Andrew and Sean are standing in front, Andrew waiting for Sean to put water in one bucket so he could put his in the other!
Poor Sammy’s getting targeted a lot as well, where Meaghan isn’t at all. But Sam’s a trooper and she’s hanging in there.
Amanda’s struggling, too. She’s got a lot in one bucket. She eventually gets a lifeline from Andrew who dumps his water in her other bucket to even her out a bit. Softie!
Sharif’s lost his balance, without even realising it. Not sure how that can happen but he’s out as well!
Holly’s got a set of lungs on her! She’s calling out support for Sammy!
Amanda’s finally out though. Stewart’s proud of her though! Awww!
Jeda, Nathan, Meaghan and Sam are all that’s left.
Sam’s virtually in tears. Her right bucket is full and the left is about 3/4’s full.
Jodi keeps targetting her, saying she’s a tough bugger and Sammy kept pleading with her not to put more in. But Jodi doesn’t care!
They’re all a bit surprised that the girls starts targetting the girls.
Jodi says she’s knocking them all off one by one by loading all the water into one bucket at a time. And she thinks it’s hilarious. Sympathy for her fadingggg…
Meanwhile Cameron’s sledging Andrew saying everyone will think Jeda’s his girlfriend because he won’t put any weight in her buckets!
But there’s a method to Andrew’s madness – he’s evenning up Nathan’s buckets first, then going to target Jeda.
Who will win? Well, you’ll have to wait until Sunday. Dangit!
Lots of drama after the challenge is done though. Sammy telling either Jeda or Jodi, “Honey, shut up!” Oooooh!
And of course that will all be followed by the first competitive weigh-in, where everyone will see what their hard work has got them so far – and one team will then have to face elimination on Monday night.
