Biggest Loser Australia 3×51: MAKEOVER DAY! WOOOOO!

Tonight on The Biggest Loser… it’s makeover day, woohoo!

Although first we have to deal with the fallout from the elimination last night. It seems Cosi may not be too pleased with some of the other contestant’s reactions…

Would you like to know more?

Cosi thinks everyone is a bunch of absolute morons. Meanwhile he’s in a white baseball hat, presumably to hide his sweet new haircut – you can see a slightly different colour hair poking out the side.
He says people should have voted out the bigger threat in Alison, but instead they sent home Nicola.
Kirsten says there’s some tension in the group when they got out.

We get a replay of Bryce being a douchebag again. Yay?
Then he’s back in the loungeroom saying that he thinks Nicola would be one of the people to make it on the outside.
Cosi says they’re all pretending like they liked her now and that they’re all one big happy family. He says all the fakeness bewilders him.

The four trainers rock up and Michelle is worried about one of the girls potentially being wrong.
Cosi is unimpressed as Jillian immediately starts talking about the colour of Bryce’s shirt. He doesn’t get why she’d be so concerned about the colour of his shirt.
Jillian tells him that when the chat is over he’s to go upstairs and get his black shirt and put that one.

Michelle the trainer then asks how the elimination was and Shannan asks how Nicola handled it and they all said she did well.
Then Cosi says he looked over and, shock horror, a girl on the Biggest Loser is crying! And he’s baffled why Michelle (the fatty) is crying after Nicola was eliminated.

Bob takes her off for a chat and apparently it’s nothing to do with Nicola being sent home. Oh no!
Michelle is worried she’s going to be targeted now. Uh, firstly, how self-absorbed can you be? Secondly, aren’t you in there to “wipe the floor” with Red and Blue?
Fucking whiny bitch.
She thinks she’s always the person saying what everyone else is thinking. You mean like JJ tried to do and got called a pig? By you?
Bob thinks it’s all good though because she’s there to lose weight for herself and she’s not going to be fake, she’ll be a woman of her word and that’s how a winner handles themself in the House.

Bob then tells her that it’s when they stop talking you’ve got to worry!

Then they head off for some training to get some of the aggression out of Michelle. Bob says she’s ready to go and is really fired up, working harder than he’d ever seen her work before.
“First female Biggest Loser? I’m looking at her right now.” – Bob. Who can apparently see through walls to wherever Kirsten is at the time.
Bob says that if a woman is ever going to win she’s going to have to work out like a man and sometimes even think like a man. “Men. Are. Simple.” Hee, Bob.
Michelle tells us in an aside that she’s going to do whatever she can to prove to all the boys that a girl can win.
Bob says Michelle doesn’t need immunity, just great weight loss and he thinks she’ll get that this week. Despite two weeks in a row of sub-2kg losses. Hmm.

Jillian wants to push Bryce past his limits today and get him angry.
Bryce gives up on his weightlifting and drops his weights and Jillian’s having none of that.
Jillian says some contestants are harder than others to open up. Some are ready, some are not. Bryce is a tough one to crack. He feels like expressing emotions is a sign of weakness. She says she’s running out of time to help him deal with his issues.
“WHAT IS IN YOUR FUCKING HEAD?!” Jillian screams at him.
Jillian says she can see him getting angrier but they’re not leaving until one of his legs falls off or he opens up to her.

Bryce then gives up on the treadmill as well, asking for one second’s break and Jillian says no, go, get on the treadmill! “You wanna quit? You wanna storm out of here?” “Do you have to fucking scream in my face?” “Yes! Let’s go!” Bryce asks her why she hasn’t worked out that it doesn’t work yet.
Jillian asks if it makes him angry or discourages him, how does it make him feel? She asks him a couple of times and eventually gives up and asks, “It makes you run? Okay, good.” Meanwhile she’s looking pretty pissed.
“What do you think has brought you here?” “Fat.” “And what do you think has brought you there?” “Laziness.” Jillian tells him he’s not lazy. Can’t he think of anything else that might have lead to him putting weight on?
Like, you know, YOUR DEAD DADDY? WE WANT TEARS, BITCHTITS!
Bryce tells her that he doesn’t think it has anything to do with his Dad’s death. Didn’t the weight come on after that, Jillian asks and Bryce sort of shakes his head.
Jillian asks him if he’s ever talked about it and he says no. Jillian asks if he thinks that will ever go away.

In an aside Bryce says he doesn’t accept that his Dad dying is one of the reasons he’s put on weight. He tells Jillian that his family doesn’t deserve this and Jillian wonders what they don’t deserve? They don’t deserve to know he’s devastated over his Dad dying in a car with him? How’s it unfair that he has feelings about it?
Bryce says not everyone needs to know about it. But he’s finally come around to thinking maybe it does have something to do with the reason he’s fat.

And after another break, Cosi finds an envelope in the loungeroom announcing that today is makeover day!

Sam and the boys get in the second car together, which Sam is really happy about since the girls would be all like, “Blahblahblahblahblah!”

First stop is Joh Bailey’s hair salon. Alison is very excited!

Bryce thinks the only time since coming on the show that he’s been pampered was when Jillian said to do only 50 pushups instead of 55!

Michelle’s going to get shorter hair. She’s a hairdresser she says and she doesn’t think shorter hair usually suits fat people. But she’s going to trust them!

Cosi’s going to have his hair straightened, awesome! Cosi says he didn’t even know blokes did that. He tells Joh that he doesn’t mind what Joh does, so long as Cosi’s a chick magnet at the end, he’s happy! Joh promises him chick magnet!

Both Alison and Kirsten seem to be getting foil-y things in their hair.
Alison says that as a Mum she doesn’t get a lot of time for this sort of thing normally and Kirsten says she just hasn’t put much effort into her appearance since her 20s.
Kirsten says she can’t believe she’s sitting in Joh Bailey’s hair salon. In sneakers!

Joh wants to move Bryce away from his current “choppy” look and go for a more George Clooney, elegant look.

Sam tells his hair dude that it’s a blank canvas, do what he wants!
“My friends don’t even get haircuts. I’m pretty sure they cut their own hair. In the kitchen sink with, you know, a butter knife!” – Sam

Cosi is worried cause he can feel how much longer his hair is when straight but he can’t see it, the mirrors are covered up. Michelle giggles at him and tells him he has a fringe now. Kirsten says he looks like one of the Monkees. Cosi turns around and flashes peace signs at her.

Michelle and Shannan rock up to Joh’s salon to check up on them all.
First person Michelle sees is Garry. Who hasn’t done anything yet. Michelle is really excited because she can tell the beard is coming off!
Joh says it’s probably not the most creative thing he’s ever done but he’s going to take it all off!
Michelle thinks it’ll reveal a face that’s not been seen for years.

Bryce’s new haircut looks pretty good. It’s not a huge change, though he thinks it is.
He says he remembers in the audition saying it was like a dark cloud hanging over him and day by day that cloud goes away.
Bryce tells Shannan the weight won’t be going back on – it feels too good having it off.

Michelle says Garry’s hair hid how much weight he’d lost. Garry’s very shocked at his look. They’ve taken all his head hair off too.
Michelle says it’s the first time she’s seen Garry genuinely happy. Probably the first time we’ve seen him happy, too!

Sam’s down getting his makeup done. “What can I say, Shannan? I’m a ladies man!”
Shannan says it’s not just about the physical transformation, it’s also about showing they have the confidence to show off the hard work they’ve done in the last two months.
Sam has a bit of a laugh at his reflection. He says he doesn’t look like a fourteen year old marshmellow anymore. “Was it worth eating seafood to look like that?” Sam has to think a moment and finally says yes.

Then we see Cosi who isn’t done yet but already looks way different. Michelle is boggling. Saying he’s a gorgeous, handsome attractive man.
Cosi says it makes him look younger and skinnier. It still looks a bit dodgy in the salon but we get an aside where it looks a lot better. Often the case with an expensive haircut!
Cosi says there was an underlying sadness in being overweight. His partner is the perfect specimen of a woman and he looks back on being 140kg and feels he was an embarassment. He feels he could stand next to her and not be embarassed anymore.

Michelle has a real sour look on her face. She’s not real sure about how short it’s becoming.
It looks a lot better wet and scruffy that it did most of the time before.
They get all her makeup done before showing her the new hairdo because Michelle the trainer is worried she’d freak out.
They finally drag out the mirror and Michelle the fatty is shocked! She was fretting about how it would turn out, but in the end she loves it!

Alison… Looks like Kimberlie from last time. Not quite that ugly, but it’s pretty bad. Really white blonde, straight hair really doesn’t suit her. Though she’s very happy with it, that’s what counts!

Kirsten looks very, very different. Much shorter, straight hair.

Next they all head off to get some spiffy clothes. The boys are getting dressed by Jo Ferguson.

Cosi says he went into the House in a 4XL and today he fit into a regular Large!
Bryce says his jeans size before coming into the House was 122 and today he had 36-38 Jeans. He’s happy he can shop in regular shops now!

The girls are getting done afterwards by Jo as well.
Alison is asked what size dress she normally has and Alison says she’s not worn one for 10 years! Her daughter Bethany is desperate to see her Mum in a dress. But it’s never happened.
She came into the House a size 26 and today she fit into a 16!

They get a catwalk after that to strut their stuff in front of the trainers.
Jillian’s wearing a horrible red hat for some reason. But she says the makeovers are giving them the confidence they need, showing the hard work is paying off so they’ll keep going.

Cosi’s in a nice jacket with a charcoal black shirt underneath. Blue jeans. Looks pretty stylish. Michelle says he doesn’t even look like he belongs on the show!
Cosi says he was fine with the catwalk and showing himself off, but when Michelle got him in front of the mirror he found it very confronting. He could finally see that he’s not overweight anymore!
He’s 28 and he looks it, Michelle says.
Cosi says that his time has been made harder by learning his partner is pregnant a couple weeks in. Cosi starts to break down in front of the mirror, saying he’s been away from them for so long and Michelle says she knows that. He says that seeing this is why they do it though. It’s worth it.
Michelle asks him to imagine what Sam, his partner, would say if she could see him right now. Meanwhile we see Sam slipping through a curtain in the background.

Cosi says she’d probably start bawling. Just as Sam gets up to him and he turns around and sees her and is struck dumb for a second, then he breaks down and gives her a huge hug. Awwwwwww!
Sam says she can’t believe how good he looks. And she shows off her pregnant belly. She’s showing a little already, awww!
Michelle has a tear in her eye, too.

Next out is Michelle. Who looks a right twat in a red jacket with a black and white patterned top underneath. It looks stupid.
So I guess she’s gorgeous? Somehow? Woman like looking stupid, right?
Bob takes her to the mirror, saying she’s going to freak out! Bob says he can’t take his eyes off her. He thought she was beautiful back when she started but he’s taken her breath away right now. And she’s taken her own breath away, Bob thinks. Bob says that’s “Fantastic!”
Michelle’s Mum arrives to see her next. Which is fairly anti-climactic, since she saw her only a couple weeks back anyway.
Bob is still on his, “Michelle could be the first female Biggest Loser” jag. Sigh.

Kirsten is next out. She also looks stupid. Beige jacket over the top of a blue dress with some weird thin scarf type thing. She looks ridiculous.
Shannan’s really happy with her though, strutting along the catwalk with confidence when a couple of months ago she never would have done anything of the sort.
Kirsten boggles, she says it was really exciting to see “the hot new me!”
Then her… Parents? Come up behind her. Yes, parents.

Next up is Bryce. Bob says he felt like a proud father when Bryce came out.
He does actually look pretty good. White shirt, blue jeans, they kept it simple and were rewarded for doing so. Pity they didn’t do that for the girls.
Bryce says that unless you’ve been overweight you don’t understand how it feels. A walk down the runway might seem insignificant but it does matter to them, he says.
Bryce looks in the mirror and says that it’s not so bad! Jillian’s cold, cold heart is warmed by Bryce being proud of himself.
Bryce says that one thing that bothers him is that he’s not moved forward in his relationship like he’d’ve wanted to. Getting married is something he can look forward to now, rather than making silly little excuses.
Then his girlfriend comes wandering in. She’s actually quite pretty. Has a simple blue dress on, so she doesn’t look stupid!
They have a big tight hug and some kisses.
Bob is amazed, he says Bryce is always saying he loves her but now everyone in Australia will see the love!
Bryce says she’s his driving force. She tells him everyone is really proud of him, including his Dad. His dead Dad. Okay. And she wants him to know she should be proud of himself!

Sam comes out next. He’s looking pretty stylish too with a blue shirt over a black shirt with dark blue pants.
Sam says he can’t see himself going back to the unmotivated person he was on the outside. He’s looking forward to racing his brother and taking his Dad for a run.
Meanwhile his brother has a “Free the Chaser 11” shirt on in a replay clip. Heh.
Jillian says she was so moved by Sam’s transformation because she was a fat kid and so she knows where he’s at and seeing a kid competing and doing so well in the House is inspirational.
Jillian tells him he’s meant to be a messenger to other young kids struggling with their weight and thinking they can’t do it. They’ll look at him and be so inspired.
Sam’s been wanting to make his parents proud, Shannan says. And of course that’s who turns up. And I think his Dad just goosed him!
His Mum is amazed she can get her arms all the way around him!

Next out the gate is Alison, who looks the least stupid by virtue of not having an idiotic getup, she’s in a fairly simple black dress. It has… Taffeter? At the bottom? So you can see through some of it. But that’s about as fancy as it gets.
Jillian says she’s a sexy woman, does she feel sexy? Alison says a little!
She wants her kids to be strong, confident and healthy and if they’re not seeing that in their Mum, how can they be?
Shannan takes Alison to the mirror and Alison says she never thought she’d get to that stage four months ago. She’s amazed that she’s changed so much in such a short period of time.
She tells Shannan she’s blessed by having a loving husband who supports her in everything she does. He never even hesitated when she said she wanted to do this. Meanwhile that husband is sneaking up behind her.
And frightens the living crap out of her! Oops! Heh.
Shannan thinks the cuddle will mean more to her than anything.
“Hello baby, want to come home with me?” – Alison’s hubby.

Garry comes out next. In a “Vegas Mobsters” shirt. Is that meant to mean something? He looks like a fat roadie in that shirt with blue jeans. But that’s better than the hobo he looked at the start of the episode.
Michelle is really happy for him and Garry thanks her most of all. He says she’s done wonders.
“That’s what’s possible.” – Michelle tells Garry as he looks in the mirror.
Garry says he’ll be more attentive to his Mum when he gets home and help his brother more. His brother has shouldered a lot of the burden with his sick Mum while Garry’s been struggling with his weight and his confidence.
Which I misheard the first time as continence. Oops!
Garry’s brother turns up just as Garry’s saying he misses his brother heaps. Awww! Big squishy manly hugs!
Garry says it’s probably the best feeling he’s ever had, seeing his brother.

You poor, poor man. Ahem.

Michelle says the contestants have walked away from this knowing they can be fit, healthy, etc. But when they get back to the White House it’s makeup off, hair in a ponytail, sweatpants on and tears in the gym!

Tomorrow night Temptation has something to do with a game of SNAP! Hahahaha
Sam says you’ve never seen anyone so serious about Snap before.
Immunity is up for grabs and Cosi says he’ll do anything to get it. They all look disgusted by whatever they have to eat if they win though?

And later this week. Cosi goes mental? He’s going to eat a whole stack of food. A crazy, crazy amount. He’s wondering what the point of being there is anymore. He has 14 chocolate biscuits!

And at the challenge battle lines are drawn again. “Them against us,” Michelle says.

And at the weigh in, SOMEONE PUTS ON WEIGHT. And we see Alison, Cosi, Bryce and Sam gasping. In shock or horror? Who knows. Given Cosi’s massive pigout, don’t be surprised if it’s him…
