Biggest Loser Australia 3×49: Week 8 Weigh In
Tonight on The Biggest Loser weigh-in rolls around again, this time it’s every fatty for themselves as they weigh in for the first time outside their teams!
Also, we find out who won the challenge from Friday night.
And theeeeeen? Bob and Jillian come back and not everyone is happy to see them, or so Mr Voiceover Man says.
And theeeeeeeen? We catch up with Nicole and Carrianne to see how they’re doing outside the house?
And theeeeeeeeeeeeen? You have to read after the break…
Alison and Damien are squaring off against Garry and Pati for the grand final in the bus pulling challenge. At stake is a 2kg bonus at the next weigh in, which will be later tonight.
And just to make things more interesting, they decide to make the final race be over 400 metres, rather than the 100 metres the previous races have been done over.
Damien thinks they could have done 100m fairly easily, but 400m might be tough!
Alison is very worried she’d be below the Yellow Line at the weigh in, Kristie tells us. Apparently everyone else isn’t really worried about that…?
Damien and Alison get off to a good start. Lots of people encouraging Damien and Alison.
Adro says it’s a big thing for the short woman to beat the huge man. I think he’s forgetting that Pati is much the same size as Alison and Damien is much the same size as Garry. If not bigger.
Damien and Alison start getting tired, Michelle says and Garry and Pati start making ground on them.
They looked to be neck and neck, Nicola says, but Garry got into stride and just started pulling away from Damien and Alison.
Garry says he used to struggle just walking 400m, never mind pulling a bus!
Pati says it felt “frigging fantastic” to be able to support Garry.
Garry and Pati end up romping home.
And now it’s time to say goodbye to the Legends.
Pati says to Garry he should be proud of how well he did. In an aside she says she hopes she’s inspired Garry and made him not forget about the big picture. Bryce says he learnt that it’s about the big picture.
Kristie says she’s been inspired herself and will go home and try and get to the next level of training.
Munnalita tells Cosi to enjoy the time he has left, there’s only a couple of weeks left until the finale.
Kirsten says it was great having the Legends there and learning stuff from them.
Now we catch up with Nicole.
She doesn’t look much better than when she was eliminated.
She says used to be appalled by her appearance but now she’s starting to like what she sees. She’s starting to get some definition, especially in her face, she says.
She says she’ll break the 100kg mark by the time the finale comes around.
Bryce says he and Michelle were told they’d be getting a phone call from Bob and Jillian. He says he owes them so much because they’ve put in the hard yards with them.
Bob says he knows the phone calls are important because he knows they need the little voices of encouragement. Meanwhile, the fountain at the White House is bubbling in the background. Gee, I wonder if they’re coming tonight!
“Surprise, surprise. We’re back!”
Bob is saying over the phone that they hope they’ll be able to get down there soon, but it’s not on the cards right now.
Meanwhile they’re sneaking up behind the two Black Teamers. Hang in there. “Maybe if you just have a look around you could find a little inspiration.” Jillian says and the Black Team members look around and see them sneaking up behind them.
Lots of girly squealing and huge hugs.
Bob says they were really excited to see Bryce and Michelle because they’d bonded with each other over a long time in America. He says there’s no Black Team anymore but as far as they’re concerned, Bryce and Michelle are their kids! And they’re protective of their kids!
“We’re here now! And you know what that means?” “We’re going to get our arse’s kicked?” “Beatings, beatings, beatings!” Jillian and Bryce.
Bob heads inside with the rest of them to “size up Bryce and Michelle’s competition.”
They find Sam having a catnap on the lounge and Bob is fairly disdainful, saying “There’s no resting, there’s no sitting around on the sofas here. You had plenty of time to do that back at home before you did this show.”
Nevermind the fact that Sam is kicking Bryce’s butt in terms of weightloss, huh Bob? Clearly Sam is doing it wrong!
Sam says he thought they were supposed to be in the lounge room waiting!
Kirsten and Alison wander in from the gym where they’d been working out. Bob says they were the only ones working out so he wants to know who they were!
Alison says she was a little overwhelmed, because Bob and Jillian “are” the Biggest Loser.
Cosi and Garry were upstairs having a bit of a snooze when Nicola runs in to tell them that Bob and Jillian are here!
Garry wanders into the gym, faux-bumping his head on the top of the doorframe.
Bob is boggling at how huge he is and wonders why nobody has eliminated him yet!
Bob says Cosi came in then and Bob thought he was one of the crew because he’s so thin!
Bob and Jillian then head off for a little chat with Bryce and Michelle seperately from the rest.
They have their audition tapes to show them. Oh no!
Bryce and Michelle are horrified, Jillian is full of glee!
Michelle was huge on her audition tape. You really don’t notice how much they’ve lost until you see the audition tapes.
Michelle starts crying, she says she was disgusted. She didn’t think it was such a problem back then, but now she does.
Michelle was very much about doing it for herself, which Bob says is where you need to start from.
“Peanut, I’m so proud of you!” – Jillian. Peanut?
Bryce’s turn next.
Bryce is shocked when he sees how huge he was. He says he’d forgotten how pathetic he’d been.
Michelle says she can’t even remember Bryce looking like that.
Bryce says he was embarassed for himself and everyone who knows him.
Jillian says Bryce isn’t lazy, he’d just been through a lot of stuff. Apparently what happened was he and his Dad were on the way to the hospital where his grandmother was dying when they crashed and so within a short space of time his grandmother and father died. Which made him turn to food, Jillian says.
Bob has to go give him a headhug! That’s all he can get to as Jillian is leaning and lying all over him.
Jillian says watching the tapes shows them how strong and powerful they are now.
“You’re a man now, you’ve grown up on this show so fast!” – Bob
Bryce is really happy to have Bob say he’s proud of him.
And now it’s time for their first training session with Bob and Jillian again, yay!
But first we have an ad break and then we catch up with Carrianne!
She looks much as she did when we saw Nicole’s catch up after she was eliminated. She definitely looks a lot better than she did on the show though.
She says since being on the show they appreciate each other a lot more and she’s learnt to relax and have more fun!
When we see her at the finale she’ll be a size 12 and looking hot, she says!
Jillian says they’re here, niceties, small talk, chitchat, blah blah, TIME TO WORK OUT!
Jillian says within five minutes Michelle was winded and Bryce was feeling like he’d pass out. They’re feeling it!
Bob says this Last Chance training had to be equivalent to a month’s worth!
Bob tells them that one of the two of them will be The Biggest Loser. Because he’s lost his mind, I guess.
Shannan says he and Michelle could hear yelling and screaming in the gym so they went in to see what was going on.
“My instant reaction was, you’re in our gym! Get out!” – Michelle, with a grin on her face.
Hugs all round and greetings and so on.
But Shannan says the “wipe the floor” words were still ringing in their ears.
“The loud Americans are back!” – Bob
Shannan says he could tell Bob and Jillian weren’t there to muck around. Bryce and Michelle look exhausted! The game is on!
Bob says they were all like, it’s great to see the Aussies but it’s time to get back to work!
Jillian says she loves Michelle and has respect for her and Shannan. But a bit of healthy rivalry never killed anyone!
Cosi says there’s some tension between the two sets of trainers, mostly because the Americans claim they’re the world’s best.
Cosi says in the group sitdown that, “I’m not in the mood for two Yankees to come over and tell us how things should be done in Australia so you have our full support!” Michelle is cracking up. In an aside Alison says, “Right on! Neither am I!”
Shannan says the teams have taken on a united Aussie front. Michelle says they’ve got a point to prove. “No one’s going to be wiping the floor with anyone in this game, except us of them!”
The 6 remaining “Aussie” fatties head out to train together on the lawn with both Shannan and Michelle.
Jillian says Michelle’s going to have to train like a man to compete. She’ll have to disconnect from the pain, both physically and emotionally.
Bob wants Michelle to get on the treadmill and run at 20km/h. Which is as fast as the treadmills go, Bryce tells us.
Bob says it’ll be for 30 seconds the first time. He looks at Jillian who looks a little skeptical, but Bob says 30 seconds!
In an aside Jillian says she’s never had a girl run that fast on the show before. It’s hard even for her!
But Bob is confident. Or at least putting on a good act.
Bob says this is what it will take, if she wants to win the show.
Michelle hops on the treadmill and is into a sprint pretty quickly. She says she’s struggling right from the start, thinking she’s going to come off.
“This is the only way that you can win this show, Michelle!” – Bob
Jillian is boggling.
They count her down but she stops a couple of numbers short.
“You’re going to do it again! You know why a girl can’t win this? Because she cries. You can’t cry, Michelle!” Bob says he’ll wipe her tears after it’s done, but until then you can’t cry. There’s no tears in the gym!
Michelle says she’s exhausted, her legs felt like jelly. She says the voices were telling her that it’s too much, just quit.
Bob tells us that Jillian said she couldn’t even watch and Bob said ditto back at her.
Michelle says the old Michelle would have given up, but she wanted to prove she could do this.
Jillian gives her “mad props” for managing to do it.
Michelle is very proud of herself, saying she’s the first female in the white house to have ever run at that speed.
Bob tells her that she’ll have to work that hard every moment of every day if she’s going to win this.
Jillian says she felt the fear and the self doubt, but she did it anyway. “That’s a hero!”
Bob says Bryce has to lift his game. Michelle has immunity, Bryce doesn’t. Bryce is fighting for his life right now!
Bob tells Bryce that he’s got to get him above the Yellow Line.
“It’s on like Donkey Kong!” – Bryce in the video diary.
Bob thinks Bryce can absolutely be the Biggest Loser, because he’s so focused on what he’s doing.
Everyone files into the weigh in room. In black tops. Boooo!
Cosi thinks Bryce and Michelle will have a slight advantage now that Bob and Jillian are back. Nevermind that they were training with The Commando before that and he’s no cupcake…
Ajay’s in a pretty Little Black Dress. Very nice!
Ajay reminds them all about the fact they’re in singles now and the Yellow Line is in.
She also reminds Garry that he has a 2kg advantage. And reminds Michelle that she is safe from elimination due to her winning immunity at Temptation. Unless she puts on weight, in which case she will not be safe!
Michelle weighs in first. She’ll be happy with .5kg to get her under the 100kg mark.
Michelle’s previous weight: 100.4kg
Michelle’s current weight: 98.9kg
Michelle’s loss: 1.5kg
Michelle’s percentage: 1.49%
She says it’s amazing and the last time she’d’ve been under 100kg would have been in her teens.
She’s currently at the top of the weightloss leaderboard for the week. Obviously!
Next up will be Garry.
Garry’s previous weight: 158.9kg
Garry’s current weight: 153.6kg
Garry’s loss: 5.3kg
He’s now lost more than 50kg. “YAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” Sam does a total facepalm at Garry yelling like a twat again.
Cosi says it’s a massive milestone. Imagine what his internal organs and his body in general must feel.
Garry’s official result is 7.3kg, after his bonus.
Garry’s percentage: 4.59%
Garry’s now in first place, obviously.
Next up is Cosi.
Cosi’s previous weight: 102.2kg
Cosi’s current weight: 98.9kg
Cosi’s loss: 3.3kg
Cosi’s percentage: 3.23%
Cosi’s really happy to get under 100kg.
Kirsten says Cosi warned them he had something planned if he made it under 100kg.
Cosi pulls his pants down and moons everyone, and he has, “You beaut” written on his cheeks. Kirsten says he’s still got some work to do. Those cheeks were still looking a bit soft and flabby!
For the record, we see everyone laughing or grinning at it. Including Ajay!
Cosi’s now in second place. Garry is now almost guaranteed to be safe.
Alison’s next. She’s hoping for 1.7kg to get into the 80’s.
Alison’s previous weight: 91.6kg
Alison’s current weight: 89.7kg
Alison’s loss: 1.9kg
Alison’s percentage: 2.07%
She says in an aside that it’s not too bad for one week but it’s not too great either. But she’s happy to be in the 80kg range at last!
She doesn’t think it’ll be enough to save her from the Yellow Line.
She’s in third place so far, beating Michelle. Yeah, she’s such a threat…
Sam’s up next. Come on Sam!
Sam’s previous weight: 116kg
Sam’s current weight: 111.5kg
Sam’s loss: 4.5kg
Sam’s percentage: 3.88%
He’s quite happy with that. Alison is thrilled for him. Ajay tells him it’s over 40kg he’s lost now.
Sam says he’s noticed in his clothes, he can wear an XL instead of a 5XL.
That puts him in second place, bumping Cosi to 3rd and ensuring Garry and Sam are definitely safe from elimination.
Kirsten’s next.
Kirsten’s previous weight: 93.4kg
Kirsten’s current weight: 90.6kg
Kirsten’s loss: 2.8kg
Kirsten’s percentage: 3.00%
Not bad, she says. But she’s wondering if it’ll be enough to keep her above the Yellow Line. She’s worried it’ll be herself and Alison below the line.
That moves her to fourth place, meaning herself and Alison are at the bottom of the heap, since Michelle’s immunity will keep her above the Yellow Line.
Only Nicola and Bryce remain. Here’s hoping they’re both below the line. That’d make things easy on the old nerves!
Nicola will need at least 1.9kg to beat Alison. Nicola is instantly worried she won’t make it.
Nicola’s previous weight: 88.2kg
Nicola’s current weight: 87.3kg
Nicola’s loss: 0.9kg
Nicola’s percentage: 1.02%
“Which is just… a bit pitiful, really.” – Nicola, in an aside. Garry’s very upset, he sees her as a little sister.
Garry says sometimes he hates hugging Nicola after a bad result because she starts crying and then he starts crying!
Only just below Michelle’s loss. Kirsten is now definitely safe. Alison’s chances rest on whether Bryce can lose more than 2.3kg.
Bryce’s previous weight: 107.2kg
Bryce’s current weight: 101.5kg
Bryce’s loss: 5.7kg
Bryce’s percentage: 5.32%
Bryce seems very happy. And relieved!
Garry says he hopes Bryce can back it up next week because now people will see him as a threat!
That result pushes Alison below the Yellow Line, which Bryce says he’d hate to see her go home because of it.
Alison is crushed, thinking it might all end tomorrow. Apparently forgetting that only two people will vote for her, while the rest of the House will vote for Nicola!
Bryce’s result also makes him The Biggest Loser for the week.
Michelle is ecstatic, because Bryce has been putting in a lot of hard work.
In case you couldn’t keep track: Alison and Nicola are below the Yellow Line.
Tomorrow night, “a voting dilemma”. Cosi wonders if people will stop voting with their hearts and start voting with their heads.
“As the votes go in, the knives come out!” – Mr Voiceover Man
Cosi says Bryce should have gone last elimination and Michelle says you should’ve voted Nicole out? I think she means shouldn’t, but she doesn’t enunciate clearly. *shakes fisties*
Looks like Nicola’s journey ends tomorrow night. Expecting people to vote out Alison is… unrealistic!
