Biggest Loser Australia 3×39: Colour coded Warehouse!
Tonight on The Biggest Loser Michelle ponders her future in the game. Will she take the $50,000 and head home, or will she stick it out?
And there’s a bit of drama over Nicole’s leaving the house after the elimination, with Carrianne vowing revenge on those mean old Reds!
Also, The Warehouse is back for another week and there’s more drama. This time, not over the food! JJ and Bryce are edging towards a physical confrontation. Will one overstep the bounds?
Read on to find out…
As soon as Red come out of the elimination room and Carrianne sees Nicole is missing, she bursts into tears. Garry tries to comfort her but Carrianne just buries her face in Alison’s shoulder.
Cosi tells them it was 3-1 to Nicole. Garry says it was pretty hard, it gets harder as the numbers get tighter.
Carrianne thinks they’re just trying to think of lines to say to her.
Cosi says everyone gets eliminated, they’re all going to go, and it’s sad with the sister thing. “But no one’s dead.” The gag seems to go down like a lead balloon in the House, but it cracked me up!
Carrianne walks out of the room and sneaks out the front to say goodbye to Nicole before she goes home. Carrianne says she’ll be okay, and Reds are going down!
Carrianne thinks Nicole will be okay on the outside.
Carrianne says it’s frustrating because she’s always said she’ll drag Nicole along as far as she can.
“Win this for us?” – Nicole. “I’ll try.”
Cosi’s not looking forward to telling Michelle about getting smashed in the weigh in. He says the thing about her being like their boss, you don’t want to let your boss down!
Michelle comes in and says, “Are you serious?!” She’s shellshocked, she says, to see Nicole gone. “To see Nicole gone has pretty much gutted me!” Yes, that’s still Michelle, not Shannan!
Michelle says she’s sorry, she’s really disappointed for them.
In an aside she says she’s not really surprised Nicole went because Nicola, Garry and Cosi have formed a tight, “unique”, friendship.
Michelle says they should be happy with their results but they never are, because they’re training so hard and hoping for better than that.
Michelle is most surprised by Nicola’s 300 grams.
They also tell her that Michelle got Biggest Loser. With 3kg. Michelle the trainer is very surprised.
They tell her about the whole deal with the $50,000.
Michelle’s on the fence about it. They’re way into the game and these guys have ticked all the boxes, got fit, lost weight, learnt heaps. She’s mostly relieved nobody on Red has been lumped with that decision.
Michelle thinks Red will go well now, being left with three strong members.
Shannan’s stoked to hear that his Blue Team not only beat Red, but Black as well!
Sam says he was happy with his relatively meager 2.7kg, he was mostly just disappointed he might have let the team down a little.
Shannan’s happy for Kirsten, who is now under 100kg.
Shannan’s amused by Alison getting 2.8kg as well.
Then they tell him about Michelle beating Alison by 100 grams. Shannan says in an aside that Alison was petrified she’d have to make that decision for herself.
Black head off into the bush again for more training with The Commando. And hello hello, JJ’s missing.
But apparently he’s just sick.
Steve’s not copping that, he says it’s too bad, show up to training, even if you don’t end up training you should show up and they’ll make a decision there.
They lay out the weigh in for Steve and Steve says he was hoping JJ would have lost a little more, but JJ’s been a bit of a slacker.
Steve is pleased with Bryce’s loss and says you can’t ask much more of Carrianne. Michelle says he was a bit shocked by her weightloss.
And he’s even more shocked when it’s revealed Michelle was the Biggest Loser for the week.
Steve says $50,000 is a lot of money, but he wonders if she’s learnt enough to overcome the bad habits that lead her to being overweight in the first place.
Steve asks who was eliminated and they tell him it was Nicole. Steve asks Carrianne how she feels about that and Carrianne says not very happy!
Steve says she needs to focus, it’s a testing time, a hurdle and if she can make it through this, she can make it through the rest of her life.
Carrianne says the anger she feels towards the Red team is helping her in training. She’s not shown how strong and fit she is yet. The competition is really starting for her now and she will make the Red Team pay!
Michelle says that Carrianne has told her she plans on taking out the Red Team and if that’s what she’s planning, Michelle is in!
Steve asks Michelle how bad she wants it. Does she want the $50,000 or the big prize? Michelle says both!
Michelle says she was trying to forget about the money during training, it’s been playing on her mind.
“$50,000 or change your life? Which do you want?” – Steve
Michelle says if she took the $50,000 she’d feel like she was letting the team down. The team only consists of herself, Carrianne and Bryce. She doesn’t consider JJ to be a part of the team at all.
She doesn’t know what she’s going to do.
When they return to the house, Michelle has a letter on her bed. It has instructions to her to go down to the gazebo to take time out and clear her head.
As she heads down to the gazebo she thinks maybe Bob and Jillian would be on a TV screen or something.
But no! As we’ve seen on the previews and ads and so on, it’s her Mum!
Her Mum says she looks fantastic. Awww!
Michelle explains why she’s there. She can take the $50,000 and go home, or she can stay there and not take the money.
Her Mum is not particularly helpful. Lots of talk about how she won’t get this opportunity again, the money’s not everything. Michelle thinks it’s a sign that it happened around her grandparents birthday. She thinks they’re looking down on her and wishing the best for her.
Her Mum also tells her that she thinks they’re pushing her to stay.
Mum also says it was grandmother’s dying wish for Michelle to be on the show and win it.
Her Mum says she’d like Michelle to stay but it’s her decision, they’ll support her either way.
Michelle is scared if she goes home she’ll go back to the way she was. Everything she starts she doesn’t finish.
Also she wants to stick it out so she can see Bob and Jillian again.
“So what are you going to do?” – Michelle’s Mum.
But oh no, we can’t find out yet. More blather from Michelle. Gist of which is to say she’s swaying towards staying, but hasn’t decided yet.
Michelle the trainer says what she learnt this week was that they need to go in and check out their nutrition.
Garry says he didn’t really eat much during the week because The Warehouse food didn’t agree with him, but at least he knows that that was a mistake, since he’d been losing 7-8kg every week and this week only 3.
Michelle says you need protein in your diet to help your muscles grow stronger and to help them regrow. If you don’t get the protein in your diet all the hard work you do in the gym just gets thrown away!
Michelle has Cosi dragging Garry across the gym using a towel between them. Cosi eventually rips the towel in half he’s pulling so hard.
Michelle says not to worry about it, she’ll grab another towel! This time it’s a bath towel! Cosi is amused. And he pulls another towel in half! Heh.
Michelle giggles and asks them to stop ripping towels!
Michelle is impressed that they went through two towels, it shows how strong they’re getting.
Then they get another towel. Hope this one doesn’t break!
Michelle takes Nicola for a special workout. She pushes the treadmill up to 15km/h, after asking if Nicola reckons she’s up to it.
Garry is impressed by Nicola running at 15km/h. He says when she applies herself, she’s fantastic. Cosi says he has to take his hat off to people like Nicola, who couldn’t even run when they came in. Cosi reckons she’s got to be closest to the fittest girl in the house now.
“That is fast!” – Nicola
Michelle the contestant comes back in to tell her team about her chat with her Mum.
Carrianne and Bryce both think Michelle should take the money and run because she’s young and she’d be able to sort herself out on the outside anyway now.
Bryce tells her that she shouldn’t worry about the team when making the decision. He thinks she’ll be fine and he thinks they’ll be fine.
In an aside he says that he’d love to be in her position because you could get voted out for anything at any time, so he’d definitely be taking the money.
Bryce tells her it’s a chance for her to stand up for herself as an adult.
Michelle says that she’s wanted to be on the show for so many years and now she’s finally here and the game has only just started for them.
Michelle is in a sticky situation she says. She was sort of decided, then her Mum came in and sort of decided her the other way, now after chatting to her team she’s wobbling again.
As they head off to The Warehouse, Cosi thinks Red is boned. Alison thinks Red is boned, too!
Nicola is hoping they at least get some protein this week!
Ajay’s in a pretty blue dress with distracting sparkly bits around the neckline.
This week there’s three crates. So they’re figuring there’ll be a good crate, a bad crate and something in between.
Today the choices are:
1. Green food.
2. White food.
3. Red food.
Green food includes a lot of fresh fruit and veggies. Broccoli, cabbage, beans and lettuce. All high in vitamins and minerals and not too many calories. But there aren’t too many green meats around! Green prawns and vegetarian sausages don’t contain as much protein as red meat.
Michelle is leaning towards the green food at first, but then as Ajay explained more she wasn’t so convinced.
White food includes fish and chicken. High in protein and relatively low in calories. They’ll also get eggs! There also seems to be potatoes and onions.
Bryce is leaning towards that at first.
Red food has beef, tomatoes, strawberries and beetroot. Fruit and veg are high in antioxidants, meat is high in protein. But it can also be high in fat!
Carrianne thinks both white and red look okay.
Cosi figures green is the worst option and they’re probably going to get that one!
Kirsten says that since Black arrived they’ve formed a natural alliance with them because they have a common enemy – Red!
Michelle gets a few minutes to discuss it with her team. Bryce says he wants to go white.
JJ says Bryce turned his back on him and he got a bit annoyed, wondering if he’d be included.
(And at this point my recording stopped for no apparent reason, so I don’t have the damn fight recorded. Grrr!
Will endeavour to get a copy and update the recap with the missing section. Come back in a couple of hours. Maybe!)
Thanks to sodo for saving my bacon once again. Mmm, bacon!
JJ asks if he’ll get a chance to have some input. And Bryce says he should fucking talk then. JJ says, “Alright fucknuckle.” Bryce responds, “Do you want a fucking broken nose?” JJ asks if he’d like one. Complete reverse of what was shown during the ad. Bet everyone still thinks JJ’s a knob anyway…!
“If you want to dance, let’s dance, don’t let fear stand in your way.” – JJ
In a side bit JJ says most people who know him wouldn’t have the balls to come up and say they’re going to break his nose and if it’d been a different environment he would now be a very sore young man.
Michelle then decides to dig in as well, saying the sooner they get it done the sooner they can go.
JJ says at that stage he felt like telling them all to shove it up their arse!
Ajay then pipes up again and asks if Michelle would like some time to discuss it with her team and Bryce asks mock-politely if JJ would like some input and JJ responds in kind, saying thankyou, yes he would!
Michelle says the white option seems the best, since you have eggs and chicken and fish, can snack on eggs through the day if you want, have chicken and fish whenever.
Meanwhile Kirsten is wondering how Sam will eat anything for the week if they get the green option. Sam’s not able to eat seafood and that’s about the only source of protein in the green food, so he’d be boned!
Ajay asks Alison which she thinks is the best option and Alison says white is probably the best and green probably the worst for them.
Sam says he’d’ve preferred to have the power in the hands of Blue, but it could have been in worse hands. Cue shot of Red Team!
Garry thinks it’s bullshit, Nicola is sure they’re going to have green food for the week. Cosi says to just eat what they want! More pilfering on the part of Red methinks!
Black come to a unanimous decision to take the white food for themselves, unsurprisingly. Then they get down to the business of deciding who should have the other two options.
Michelle tells Ajay they’ve chosen white food.
Blue team will be getting the red food! Michelle says Sam has struggled with his diet in the past week and she’s worried he won’t do so well with the green option.
Ajay asks who that person is and Michelle says she’s not going to say. Nicola snorts and says it’s Sam! It’s obvious! Sam grins across at them. Cosi says he thinks it’s him and Sam shrugs and tries to look innocent.
Michelle says the rest of Australia doesn’t have to know that. Cosi says it’s no huge secret, he’s had problems with his eating in the past, he’s got it back on track and the green option might have been a restriction on his diet, is that fair enough to say? And Sam says yes, but thanks Michelle for the consideration.
Cosi has a bit of a blow up in an aside, saying Michelle made a fluffy excuse about giving Blue the red food option because Sam has problems eating. Cosi says Sam is not a baby, he’s a 19 year old man and he doesn’t need Michelle mothering him with the right food. It’s crazy!
Alison thinks it was noble of Michelle being concerned with Sam’s diet and it shows the Black’s true colours.
Which leaves green food for the Red team.
Ajay asks why she left them with that option and Michelle says because she was looking after Sam!
Cosi’s not having a bar of it, though. He reckons she should take her $50,000 and go home!
“I don’t like the Red Team! They’ve just eliminated somebody who really needed to be here, who had a lot more weight than some of them have. And it frustrates me that they can be so fake.” – Michelle
Garry figures you’d have to eat 72 prawns to get enough protein to continue with your exercise. So stick a blindfold on you and you’ll be right then?
Kirsten says nobody on Blue was unhappy to get the red food for the week.
Carrianne says if they can get an edge on Red and help Blue by doing it, then sure, they’ll do it.
Nicola sees it as three Reds versus a sea of Blue and Black!
Back in the House Garry decides to try and cook up some of their prawns and veggie sausages.
Michelle asks what happened and they say everything’s green!
Michelle says that they’re looking good for vitamins and energy, but not protein.
Cosi says Michelle always tries to put a good spin on it, but Cosi wants his beef! You can’t hide the fact that he can’t eat steak or chicken for a week!
Michelle says they’ll have to eat a fair few prawns. There’s only 15 calories in a king prawn, but only 1g of protein, so they’re going to have to eat them for lunch AND dinner to try and up their protein.
Nicola’s not feeling confident for the next weigh in because they have no protein again.
Tomorrow night, JJ’s gone missing again.
And it’s decision time for Michelle. But first she gets a chat with Bob who says she ought to take the money and run, as well!
