Biggest Loser Australia 3×37: Week 6 Weigh In
Tonight on The Biggest Loser is weigh in night again. Can Blue turn around their luck this week and return to their winning ways?
Can Black survive their first competitive weigh in?
And just what in the hell is the $50,000 thing about?
Read on to find out!
Heat 6 and Blue are one goal away from winning. Blue are on 4, Black on 1 and Red still has none!
Michelle, Alison and Nicola are in Heat 6. Michelle says the pressure is on, do or die!
Garry says Red is desperate to win, but the game is slipping away from them and they’re not happy!
Nicola, Michelle and Alison head out hard. Nicola leads off, trying to get there first. A little way down the pool Alison stops and leaves Michelle and Nicola to get there first. Nicola picks up the ball ahead of Michelle and begins swimming back.
Alison sees them get closer and figures it’s time to get involved and she manages to reef the ball away from Nicola, but then promptly drops it to the pool bottom.
Nicola ducks down and picks it back up and Alison and Michelle are back on her right away.
Alison goes down at one point and swallows a lot of water, she says. She was panicking and considered getting out but changed her mind, because they only need one more point!
Apparently it’s getting very rough, kicking and scratching. And Michelle says she wouldn’t’ve thought Alison would play so nasty!
Alison is trying hard to move both the other girls closer to Blue’s goal and is pleased when it starts to work!
Nicole is thinking Alison is the weaker player, she’s a mum of three, she can be beaten.
And then Alison grabs the ball, turns and pots it. Woohoo!
Blue wins!
Kirsten says Alison may not be the strongest girl but she’s gritty and she’s the smiling assassin! She’ll smile at them and grab the ball away and score!
Alison says she tells her kids they can be anything they want to be, can do anything they want and it’s time she started listening to her own advice!
And now a special catch up with… Sean!
He’s still got that terrible haircut. He tells us again that he’s no longer on any of his medication. He does look much better, still very obviously overweight though.
He used to wear 6XL, now he’s down to XL.
He says Biggest Loser has saved his life. When we see him at the finale he’ll feel and look good and we’ll be impressed!
Shannan and Michelle rock up to the House for a “crucial” Last Chance training.
Red’s training today is being done with backpacks full of weights.
Nicola figures Cosi or Garry will be the one Blue will pick to have sit out. They get to do that as part of their reward for winning the challenge.
Michelle says she has to rely on the girls this week to get them across the line. Usually it’s the boys.
Nicole says that “we” need to win this weigh in or she’s going home. Still with the team spirit I see!
Black are off in the bush for their Last Chance.
JJ says Last Chance is probably more important for Bryce, Michelle and Carrianne because they don’t have immunity. But JJ does!
Steve asks Michelle why she looks so unhappy. Michelle explains the sitting someone out thing and says that Black has someone who “hasn’t really done much”.
Michelle says that Blue won’t pick JJ to sit out, they’ll pick Bryce.
Steve asks JJ if she means he hasn’t been working. JJ says he has been working, just he’s been doing it on his own. Steve asks why, he’s part of Black Team!
JJ says yes, but he doesn’t feel very welcome in Black Team.
Bryce says it’s hard to win a four person weigh in with three and a half people!
Steve says Bryce is working hard, Carrianne’s consistent, Michelle has it in her and trains hard but she’s got to stop letting individual personalities have an effect on her.
They’re doing squats with the “kettle bells”, which are weights shaped like kettles. And JJ is smiling. Steve asks him why he’s smiling and JJ says he finds it great and exhilirating. Steve says if he’s working he wouldn’t be smiling!
Steve starts shouting at him and JJ keeps grinning and answers back with a lot of “Yes sir!”
“Mate, you’re carrying on like an idiot!” “I know!” “Why?” “Because!” Heh.
Michelle says JJ is a smartarse and doesn’t understand that the Commando is there to help him. I think he does understand, he’s just having fun!
Steve asks him what’s going on and JJ says they’re telling him he’s not exercising and Michelle chirps in to say he’s not and JJ says he’s exercising more than her!
JJ in an aside says he thinks they’ve got it into their heads that they’re Americans. They’re going to wipe the floor, etc. All JJ’s seeing is a lot of tears!
Michelle is in tears after that exchange with JJ and the Commando. And then in an aside, too! She says having JJ in their team has been so stressful, she can’t concentrate on what they’re there to do because she’s always putting up with his bullshit.
JJ says Michelle got upset and cried, but she started it! And if they’re acting like two year olds, he can be the biggest kid of all!
I don’t think the fact that she started it is going to save you, JJ. You’re still going to get slammed for daring to speak your mind!
And now a special catch up with Sheridan!
Who is looking pretty good!
She was a size 20-22 on her bottom and 18-20 on top. She’s shooting for 12, which is her happy number she thinks.
She says she feels and looks like a different person. Her mum rang her in tears the other night to tell her she’s really proud of her.
Blue have a very important weigh in this week. If they lose another, they’re down to 2 people, which will pretty much doom them.
Alison says with the $50,000 on offer, competition has never been higher.
Kirsten says they want to burn all the energy they have left and hope that it’s enough to get them over the line.
Shannan says Kirsten always gives him 100% and Sam was focused and did what he’s capable of.
Then he looked over at Alison who isn’t looking herself.
Alison steps off to the side of the treadmill and then fainted. A slow faint, fortunately, just sort of crumpled to the floor and Shannan rushes over to grab her and gently lowered her to the ground.
Alison mumbles that she feels like she’s going to fall. Shannan tells her she’s already lying down, it’s okay.
She tells the medic she was feeling really dizzy all of a sudden.
She wanted to keep going because she’s already the weak link in the team and passing out in training doesn’t help!
Medic says maybe she had a drop in her blood pressure, but she’s recovered now. Alison says she feels fine now.
Shannan says Alison has toughened up and today showed how tough she’s become.
Alison says there’ll be people who’ve been working really hard to get biggest loser of the week and she’d like to think she has as much of a chance as everyone else!
And now it’s time for another weigh in. And guess what, boys and girls? Everyone’s nervous!
But with an added twist this week, with the $50,000 mentioned a couple times.
Ajay’s in the weigh in room, in a pretty little black dress. Very flattering!
Today is not only weigh in day, Ajay says. It’s also pay day for someone!
The biggest loser of the week will have the chance to walk away with it.
Ajay says each of them came to lose weight, money was never the goal. But $50,000 would be a great help to starting a new life, too.
Bryce says he mostly just wants to win the weigh in but if he gets the cash too? Great!
Cosi says it’s fairly unlikely a girl will win, it’ll probably be a guy.
Alison says usually people would be excited about $50,000 but you don’t get that for nothing. You’ll probably have to give up something.
Blue now get to decide who to sit out of the weigh in from Red and Black.
From Red they’ve chosen Cosi to sit out the weigh in. Cosi looks a little disappointed and confirms in an aside that it did annoy him a little that he’d miss out on the $50,000.
And from Black they chose Bryce, of course!
“I felt sick in the guts.” – Michelle. I guess that’s as opposed to feeling sick in your big toe or something.
Cosi and Bryce will not be participating official in this week’s weigh in and are thus not eligible for the $50,000. But they still have to haul their fat asses up on the scales to see how much they’ve lost.
Garry says it’s too bad for Cosi, though he’s happy to still be in with a shot.
First team on the scales today is Blue.
And Sam gets to go first!
Cosi reckons Sam is a shoo-in to win the $50,000.
Sam’s previous weight: 121.9kg
Sam’s current weight: 119.2kg
Sam’s loss: 2.7kg
Disappointing. Sam still has a bit of a smile on his face though, good to see it didn’t get him down!
Sam says he was just hoping to get under the 120kg mark, which he hasn’t been under in a few years at least, he says.
He also says he felt like he’d let the team down.
Cosi says Sam was disappointing, he’d’ve liked to see him be the biggest loser and get the chance at the $50,000.
2.21% is his percentage lost. The others will have to do better to win the biggest loser title for the week.
Kirsten needs at least 2.3kg to take the title off Sam.
Kirsten’s previous weight: 100.1kg
Kirsten’s current weight: 97.3kg
Kirsten’s loss: 2.8kg
Kirsten says it feels fantastic to be under the 100kg mark. She says it’s taken her a couple years to get back under it, it’s taken a lot of pain and hard work and she doesn’t want to have to go through it ever again.
Bryce thinks Kirsten could win the competition, she’s strong and has consistently lost good numbers and there’s no reason she can’t win just because she’s a girl. Except that that’s a good reason why she won’t actually win!
Kirsten has overtaken Sam as biggest loser of the week.
Alison will need 2.8kg to go past Kirsten.
Alison’s previous weight: 97.8kg
Alison’s current weight: 95kg
Alison’s loss: 2.8kg
Heh, exactly the same loss as Kirsten. “Can’t tell we train together!” In an aside Alison thought it was quite cute that they got the same loss, but because she’s slightly smaller she got a better percentage, so now she’s in the lead!
Nicola says Alison’s a very sweet, innocent mother of three but underneath that there’s a very strategic person and she loves competitive games and she’s definitely there to try winning the overall prize!
Cosi says he’s had his ups and downs with Alison but she has a young family and if she gets a chance to win the $50,000 he wouldn’t begrudge it to her.
Blue’s total loss: 8.3kg
Blue’s percentage: 2.6%
Next up will be Red!
As Cosi is sitting out of the total and out of the $50,000, he’ll be up first.
Cosi’s previous weight: 109.2kg
Cosi’s current weight: 107.8kg
Cosi’s loss: 1.4kg
“It’s not very much, is it?” In an aside Cosi reveals that he’s not too disappointed since his weight isn’t counting anyway!
Sam thinks maybe they’ve made the wrong decision…
Ajay asks Cosi if he thinks Red will have done enough to win the weigh in and Cosi says it’ll be close, it’ll be worth waiting around for!
Official tally starts now!
They’ll need at least 9.9kg between three of them.
Cosi thinks Garry might pull a 7 or 8 so it should be doable!
Garry’s previous weight: 168.7kg
Garry’s current weight: 165kg
Garry’s loss: 3.7kg
He looks… disappointed. Heh. He says he’s heartbroken and embarassed.
Ajay says that 3.7kg is a good result in anyone’s books so why is he so disappointed in himself? Garry says he’s a bigger lad so she’s expected to drop bigger numbers.
Cosi wonders what the hell is going wrong, he did 1.4 and Garry only did 3.7kg.
Alison thinks Garry put too much pressure on himself. Kirsten is feeling a bit more confident now.
6.2kg more, Red will need from the two girls. Cosi is not confident they can do it.
To beat Alison, Nicole will need 3.4kg.
Nicole’s previous weight: 116.3kg
Nicole’s current weight: 114.6kg
Nicole’s loss: 1.7kg
“At least it’s not my lowest!” Nicole has no idea why she only lost 1.7kg.
5.4kg so far. Nicola needs to lose 4.5kg to keep her team safe. Ouch.
Nicola’s previous weight: 92.5kg
Nicola’s current weight: 92.2kg
Nicola’s loss: 0.3kg
Heh, I love you Nicola, but it’s really hard to be sad about that since it means Blue are safe!
Nicola says it was devastating, she felt like she’d let her team down and she hadn’t hit her goal of getting under 90kg. So she’s feeling pretty useless.
Nicola says to Ajay that she didn’t think she’d get 4.5kg, but 0.3kg is pretty bad and there’s nothing she can do about it.
Garry thinks they’ll be going to elimination now.
Garry gives her a big squishy hug when she gets back to the grandstand. She started crying, which set Garry to crying. She says she’s very grateful to have big cuddly Garry around when you need a big hug.
Nicole thinks they’re gone, thinks Black will drop massive amounts.
Red’s total loss: 5.7kg
Red’s percentage: 1.51%
Blue are now safe from elimination, yay!
And Alison’s still in the lead for the week’s biggest loser. Kirsten says Alison was getting pretty nervous.
Because Bryce is sitting out, he’ll be weighing in first.
Bryce’s previous weight: 115.2kg
Bryce’s current weight: 109.5kg
Bryce’s loss: 5.7kg
Very impressive, Bryce! Pity it doesn’t count to your team’s total!
Bryce says he hasn’t been 109kg since he was 7, he reckons.
He says he’s disappointed he hasn’t done anything to help his team and Carrianne and Michelle smile and shake their heads.
“Ali, I’m glad you’re in front, love, but watch out!” Bryce says with a head nod towards his Black team. He says there’s two units over there who’ve been working really hard.
Black need a loss of 4.9kg between three of them. Which means Bryce would have practically won it for them by himself! (The figures would have changed somewhat with Bryce in and JJ out.)
JJ needs to have lost at least 3.5kg to go past Alison.
JJ’s previous weight: 119.1kg
JJ’s current weight: 116.8kg
JJ’s loss: 2.3kg
Not bad. Bryce says that no matter how hard JJ might have worked during the week, he’s contributed on the scales and that’s all Bryce can ask.
Alison’s still in the lead for the “chance” to win $50,000!
Carrianne needs 2.8kg to beat Alison.
Carrianne’s previous weight: 97.3kg
Carrianne’s current weight: 95.1kg
Carrianne’s loss: 2.2kg
She seems pleased. And she says it’s fine that she didn’t get the $50,000 because Alison has a young family and needs it more than her.
Black need just .4kg more to be safe from elimination.
Michelle will need at least 3.1kg. Michelle’s shaking her head and says she doesn’t think she’s done it. She says that she’d be happy with the 400 grams necessary to get her team over the line. Anything after that would be great!
Michelle’s previous weight: 105kg
Michelle’s current weight: 101.8kg
Michelle’s loss: 3.2kg
JJ and Bryce both lean over with their jaws falling to the floor. Quite a bit of shock all round, though Garry just looks annoyed, as usual.
She now has the chance to win $50,000. And she’ll find out soon enough how it will unfold!
This also means that Red will be heading to elimination yet again!
Michelle is most happy that Bryce and Carrianne will be there another week.
Black team total: 7.7kg
Black percentage: 2.4%
Shortly Red will head to elimination to end “one of their teammates” *coughNICOLEcough* journey.
Michelle is this week’s biggest loser with the chance to collect the money. But everything in the game comes at a price.
To accept the $50,000 it will cost her… Her place in The Biggest Loser competition. Surprise, surprise.
She won’t accept, she needs the help too much.
She says it was devastating to hear that would be the price. She tells Ajay that she has to think about her team, but also herself and she doesn’t think she’s mentally or physically ready to go home. So she doesn’t know.
Alison says at this point she was actually thankful for the 100grams because she didn’t want to be the one to be making the decision.
Garry says $50,000 would be a great start for a deposit on a house or a car or something, but they’re there for their health.
Michelle is told one more thing… If she takes the $50,000 it will be taken out of the end prize. Which means the overall winner will only get $150,000.
Lame. LAME.
She’ll have a few days to mull it over.
Alison thinks she’ll take the money. She can do it on the outside. She’s young, she’s single, she’d be crazy not to take the money and run!
Tomorrow night… Nicole is praying for a hung vote!
Alison is hoping for one too!
Nicole plans some more backstabbing, telling Garry that he’ll be next. And Garry seems to be falling for it, thinking it might be time to get rid of Cosi…
