Biggest Loser Australia 3×35: The Walk gets interesting…
Tonight on The Biggest Loser, JJ takes another walk… but this one he’s allowed to take. With immunity comes great responsibility, or something like that.
JJ’s going to come back from The Walk with $50,000 in a suitcase. Will he waste it all on hookers and blow?
Read on to find out…
Michelle and Shannan run up to the White House… in the rain! Suckers!
Shannan says he knew they’d had Temptation, and he’s happy to see he still has three Blues. Alison says they knew Shannan would be proud of them for not taking part.
Alison says she wasn’t tempted at all, Kirsten says she was a little because she wanted the telly. Hers died just before she came into the house. Oh noes!
Sam wasn’t even tempted, not even for the plasma. Shannan says why would you risk two hundred grand for a plasma?!
Shannan is made to guess who partook. He correctly guesses Cosi, JJ and Garry would have a go. And he’s flabbergasted when told JJ managed to get immunity for himself!
Alison says they’ve been told The Walk will divide the House this week.
Shannan’s amused that loose cannon JJ has control of The walk.
Sam says that since JJ has come back he’s insulted pretty much everyone, has escaped from the House twice. And has just generally stirred things up. And if Black go to Elimination, they can’t get rid of him!
“The Walk’s in the power of the brains trust. Oh goodness me. It’s going to be hilarious!” – Shannan
Cosi asks Red if they think Michelle will be mad at him for the hamburger.
Michelle’s not at all surprised Cosi took part. She says that Red Team and Temptation have a bit of a history…
Michelle completely understands JJ going for Temptation, since he badly needs the immunity. Black is thirsty for blood – not Red Team blood or Blue Team blood, JJ blood!
Michelle asks what the reasoning was for taking part and Cosi says it’s because the power of The Walk this week has been talked up a lot.
Cosi at least thought it through. Garry can’t even give a reason to Michelle. Michelle is really disappointed because Garry has made so many mistakes with Temptation. She thinks there’s still some issues there…
Now it’s time for Cosi to burn off the 400 calories he had from the hamburger. And Michelle makes the others burn off 400 calories as well, since Cosi took it for the team!
Nicole says Cosi deserved his beating in training today and probably deserved a lot more because he still hasn’t learnt from it.
Cosi says when he’s kicking the bag it’s a bit weird, because he’s kicking at a woman. He has to keep apologising to Michelle, Michelle doesn’t mind at all. “KICK, COSI!”
Garry continues to set unrealistic goals for himself – he wants to lose 12.5kg this week so he’ll hit the 50kg lost since entering the House.
Michelle thinks it’s a big ask but tells him if he wants it, he’s going to have to go really hard. To the ends of the Earth and back, in terms of pain! I don’t think she’s confident he can do it…
Black are off for another training session. “He’s just a bloke. He’s trained to kill, but he’s just a bloke!” – JJ
Steve’s happy to see them all for training today. They’re looking a bit happier, bit jovial. Steve thinks it’s fairly ironic JJ won immunity, since he’s been stuffing everyone around.
Steve asks him if he thinks he deserves it and JJ says he doesn’t think he deserves it, nor does he expect most of Australia would think he deserves it! But he’s got it…
With the weigh in ahead of them Steve says they’ve got to smash the Red and Blue Team.
Carrianne says that now they don’t have immunity, it’s not enough to put in 110%, she needs to put in 150%.
Steve says if they come to his training session then they train as he wants them to train. He thinks Bryce has more in the tank, he’s not giving it his all. Steve asks him if he’s scared of falling over or puking. Ever thrown up before, Bryce? You throw up and you get back up and keep going, Steve says!
Bryce thinks they’ll have to try twice as hard to compensate for the uninterested fourth member.
Steve wants JJ to stop playing games. He says JJ is stoked at having immunity, which is one less worry for him at weigh in. But he’d better not stuff Steve and the Black Team around when it comes to weigh in.
Shannan says that in order for Blue to remain competitive they’ve got to remain injury free.
Cosi’s been struggling with shin splints, which makes it hard to run and running is one of the best fat burning exercises. If you can’t run, you could go home. He lost Sean due to an injury and he doesn’t want to lose anyone else.
They need a shoe that will look after their feet. So they’ve got some goober from Footlocker in with their fancy machine that can tell how your feet move and so on.
Sam says he’s never spoken to an expert before about his shoes. He’s very happy about getting to find out what sort of shoe is good for his feet.
And afterwards, Shannan has a treat for them! He bundles them all in the cars and Sam says he packed some headgear… Uh-oh!
Shannan takes them to a proper boxing trainer. To see Shannan’s personal trainer, to be precise. Shannan says that his trainer has made him puke before!
They’re doing a boxing circuit, but first they get their hands all strapped up properly.
Kirsten says Paul, Shannan’s trainer, doesn’t look like much of a boxer, but he knows his stuff.
Alison says Shannan’s boxing trainer is absolutely gorgeous. He comes across very kind and gentle, but then he gets in the ring… He’s amazing to watch, Alison says.
Sam says Shannan’s been putting some pressure on him, being the last man standing. He says Paul has a saying, “If you always do what you always done you always get what you always got.”
Shannan says that Blue needed to see that he practices what he preaches. They’ve given him blood, sweat and tears every day for the last 6 weeks.
He starts out with some skipping. Shirtless. Alison’s eyes about pop out of her head.
That’s just the warmup phase. He needs to get his head in the zone because he says this wasn’t going to be for the fainthearted. He doesn’t want to let Blue down. They’d lose respect if he didn’t go hard.
Shannan gets in the ring with Paul for some punching against mitts. But unlike when Paul trained Blue, Paul swings back with the mitts against Shannan when he leaves himself open after a punch.
Shannan realises when he gets in that Paul didn’t set a timer. So he’d have to keep going till Paul let him have time off or Shannan collapsed.
Alison says it’s fantastic. She says Shannan was amazing to watch. She says Shannan always seems so invincible, so it was good to see that he struggles for breath at times. Kirsten says it lets them trust him, because he really does “walk the talk”.
Quite a bit of sting behind Shannan’s punches, even near the end of the session. Very impressive stuff!
Black and Blue are preparing their foods together still. Scaling fish today, ew!
Shannan still sees their side as the winners, because they get a much better variety and can get meat and fish and chicken.
Carrianne points out that food fuels your body. If you choose the wrong option you won’t be able to work out as long or as hard.
Apparently Bryce is a bit of a chef himself, likes putting different spices and herbs on things, plus Alison knows some tricks for fish, so Kirsten has learnt a lot of things about BBQ’ing things.
Kirsten says she’s made a lot of bad choices in the past, fast food, microwave meals, etc.
Alison says in the morning she used to drop by the service station to get a coffee or iced coffee with full cream milk and maybe a croissant from the bakery. Very different to what she has now!
Michelle stares at all the raw food.
Cosi’s making ryvitas with cottage cheese and tuna on them. They look pretty foul. Cosi says he’s been feeling lightheaded and lethargic, so he’s looking forward to getting back into some red meat, pork, that sort of thing.
Someone asks him if his ryvitas are as good as the hamburger. Cosi says it’s alright…
Nicola’s making a salad thing which she says you could put some cheese on… if they were allowed to.
Michelle asks how they could say they’re going hungry, saying they’re a bit lethargic.
She says it’s been hard on Garry who is used to a lot of red meat, fried chicken and so on, so it’s been a bit of a struggle.
Garry says he needs about 45 cylinders to keep him going.
Michelle asks them if they think they made the wrong choice. Nicola says she thinks they made the right choice for the weigh in, but they knew it would be difficult.
Michelle says the biggest problem for them is the lack of iron, because the best source of iron is red meat and they can’t have any of that at the moment!
And now JJ finally gets to go for a Walk!
Cosi says that JJ has made it clear to him that, mate or not, Cosi would be gotten rid of if JJ could!
Everyone else is nervous, Black don’t trust him, nobody knows what will happen, Biggest Loser history, etc.
Cosi has a gut feeling someone will be going home.
Black sit down for a chat while JJ is gone. Michelle thinks JJ might throw the weigh in to put on of the other three on the chopping block and she thinks she’s the most likely victim.
Bryce thinks all they can do to make sure they save their skins is to make sure they win the weigh in. They figure they need to work extra hard and make JJ work extra hard.
They all want to be sure they’re there for when Bob and Jillian arrive. They don’t know when they’ll get there though, so they’ve got to last at least another week!
Hey look, the crabs are back! JJ’s off on his walk and the carbs are back!
JJ keeps gibbering on about it being about choice and it could divide the house, could conquer the house, etc.
JJ says if he has the chance to take someone out, he’ll be sending Cosi home!
He says there’s likely to be a lot of tears when he gets back in any event… not from him, but from the others.
Ajay’s in a pretty black patterned dress.
Ordinarily contestants get a choice on The Walk. But today? Nope, just one urn. “Today could see your best friend become your worst enemy.”
JJ says he loves a good rumble in the House. People are very hungry for success, he says.
JJ’s mission for today is to uncover the secret, return to the White House and inform the contestants of his discovery.
JJ reaches into the urn and pulls out a huge briefcase. Ajay looks over for half a second while he’s fumbling around and then remembers to stare straight ahead like a robot.
JJ has no idea what would be inside but maybe documentation? Free passes out the gate, never to return? Who knows?
JJ opens the case and inside… is a yellow glowing thing, not white! Oooh!
Back to the White House once more, JJ strolls up the drive carrying his briefcase. He says he can’t wait to see their jaws drop when they see what’s in the case.
Nicole says JJ is the very last person she’d want to have any power in the House.
JJ says there’s going to be a lot of people who’ll lift their game now, they’re competitive people. There may even be some sabotage! Which he thinks could be good.
Michelle says she’d like to have a lot of trust in JJ but after everything that’s happened, she’s not sure she does.
They’re all quite surprised when he comes in with a briefcase, not a rock.
JJ says they’re all going home and he’s the winner! Everyone laughs.
JJ tells them there was only one urn and the briefcase was inside it.
JJ’s talking it up a lot, saying it’s really huge and so on. Nicola thinks he’s full of it!
JJ opens up the case and reveals all the $50 notes inside. A whole bunch of them.
Nicole can’t hide the greed in her eyes. Sam has a little grin on his face, Cosi’s fairly unimpressed. Some of the others seem to not know what to think.
“What’s the catch?” – Carrianne
JJ says the $50,000 could potentially belong to any of them.
Ajay told him that The Biggest Loser this week will have the chance to walk away with all that money.
By the end of this week’s weigh in, one person will be eligible for the cash.
JJ says to everyone that true colours are going to come out now, there’s going to be a lot more exercise being put in. Michelle thinks people will do anything to win the weigh in.
Alison says she’d love $50,000. She has a husband and family and that’d wipe out some credit card debt and pay some money off the mortgage.
Sam says he’s a uni student and works in a video store. “I think if you put one and two together, it could make a bit of a difference in my life.”
Cosi says he doesn’t know if he’ll have a huge go at it, but if he does he doesn’t expect anyone would bag him for it.
The teams split up for individual chats.
Garry thinks the big thing for him will be the fingerpointing. The money would be nice but he doesn’t want to be seen as greedy. Because Garry would never seem greedy, would he? Hmm.
Garry says they’ve been working hard all week so if people start fingerpointing now it would be a bit unfair.
Cosi says the idea has been planted in their heads that people working harder might be money-hungry, but he doesn’t think so.
Nicole has an aside to say that she thinks Cosi’s there for the money. So if she can stop him getting a little bit extra, she’ll be happy with that. Because she’s a petulant little bitch.
JJ tells his team that he was told to say it’s a chance, so it might not be a definite.
Bryce says he knows but it’s got to be a big carrot.
In an aside he says he thinks JJ has had enough luck in the last week. He thinks a girl will win it this week.
JJ says they reckon it’ll divide the house? And Carrianne and Michelle say that it will.
Michelle says she’d love someone on Black or Blue to win it, no one on Red though, because Red are playing the game.
Carrianne and Michelle say that you’ll know who’s here for the money.
JJ says so if they get up at 2am to go to the loo and they hear the treadmills going, they know!
Carrianne says JJ might be tempted to go for the money and she hopes it’s an incentive for him to work a little harder than he has been. None of the other Blacks want to go home.
Bryce says the first thought for him is to win the weigh in, second is win some coin. JJ says, “Mmm, exactly!”
Alison thinks there’ll be a lot of people stepping up, Kirsten agrees.
Kirsten says Garry will go for it. He looked at the briefcase like it was a big chicken he was going to devour.
Sam thinks Cosi and Nicola will go for it.
Alison says Garry can’t help himself at Temptation, so how’s this going to work?
Sam thinks there’ll be a few people in the House that the money might have an effect on. Or might even make them play dirty.
Alison thinks there’s probably something else behind the offer.
In an aside she says the best case for Blue is to win the weigh in, nothing else!
Kirsten says that even though they don’t necessarily want to win themselves, they have to step it way up anyway, just to level peg or beat them at the weigh in.
Alison thinks there’ll be people on minimal amounts of food, minimal amount of fluids… and the gym will be packed. Kirsten says there’s no choice in the matter, unless you want to lose the weigh in and go home.
And now we get another catch up with one of the eleven sent home contestants!
Today is Craig Smith, 38, 142.3kg.
He wants to lose weight to be around for his son because he grew up without a father, so he wants to be around for his son. He’s virtually crying while saying that. Wuss!
Craig says he’s come up with excuses in the past, but this time there’s no excuse, he will lose the weight.
He’s lost 21.9kg so far and his arms are looking pretty buff!
The other person we catch up with is Dianne, who we’ve seen during the promotional ads for the show.
Dianne is 30 and weighed 114.4kg. She wants to be able to go home and be able to play with her son. Run around, kick a ball with him, go nuts!
“I don’t feel sexy, I don’t look pretty, I just look like a bunch of cellulite fat. It’s disgusting!”
She says she was disappointed when Shannan said she’s going home.
She’s lost 8.8kg so far, though it looks like more, she’s looking quite a bit better, especially in the face.
Shannan says she now gets to play with her son Zach and they quite often go to the beach.
Shannan says the eleven people who didn’t get into the House are going to prove to the rest of Australia that you can do it at home and he can’t wait to see them at the finale!
Coming up tomorrow night, “A fat version of Baywatch.” says Nicola.
The challenge has something to do with a pool and some sort of pool-basketball.
And on Sunday the weigh in is also pay-day. Who’s weightloss will be worth $50,000 cash?
Find out on Sunday. Or possibly Monday, if they dick us around. Or when…
