Biggest Loser Australia 3×30: “Pigs In Mud” Challenge!
Tonight on The Biggest Loser Sam is back in the Blue once again!
And in a gruelling three way tug of war in the mud, treachery is afoot as Nicole makes reference to sabotaging her own team. Making the “pigs in mud” analogy even more apt for her in particular!

Alison says it’s great for Blue to have Sam back in the Team. They’ve now got another strong, young, fit man to help them in Challenges.
Blue is sitting in the lounge waiting to tell Shannan how the voting worked out. But instead of telling him right away, they decided to play another trick on him.
Shannan walks in to find his 3 remaining Blue contestants. He’d been hoping “in my heart of hearts” that the teams might’ve gotten evened.
Alison lies through her teeth, saying Red get to keep 5, Black get to keep 4, Blue get to keep 3.
Shannan says it seemed in no way fair. Alison says the pressure is much higher now.
Sam wanders in and says hey guys, pretty crappy decision. Shannan grins and says, “Shut up, you’re back, aren’t ya?! Yeah! You can’t keep a straight face ya bugger!”
Sam rips his Red shirt off and Shannan gives him a huge hug and has a big grin on his face.
Shannan says they’re a force to be reckoned with, not only on the scales but in challenges as well. Shannan says this is going to square up the playing field!
Michelle comes in to find her 4 remaining contestants. She has no idea what has happened!
Nicola explains that they thought it was better to give Blue Sam, rather than risk them possibly stealing Cosi.
Michelle says the Blue Team is looking hot now. They need to line someone up on the Blue Team and take them down.
Cosi says Blue is looking strong. Michael is very strong, losing a lot of weight, Sam’s a superstar on the scales and they’ve got Kirsten, who is like half-man, she’s a workhorse! And Alison’s losing good numbers too!
“Losing is no option! I am absolutely not standing for it!” – Michelle
All three teams head off for their first challenge as a trio of teams. Carrianne is looking forward to it – that’s what they’ve been training for in the States, to win challenges.
Everyone’s nervous and curious to see how the Black Team does. Nobody knows what to expect!
Today’s challenge is a 3-way tug of war. In a dirt filled paddock. Well, mud, really, Ajay. Really, really gloopy mud. Cooool.
The object of the game is to reach your flag first. Not once, not twice, four times!
Garry thinks if he’s ever going to shine in a challenge, this will be it, since it’s strength and weight based.
To win a round you’ve got to pull your team to a flag. But winning a round makes things harder for your side because the team who reaches their flag first has to eliminate someone from their side.
Kirsten says it’ll make it a long, tough challenge.
Whoever wins today will have the power to decide who has immunity. It can be awarded to a Red or Blue team member. Black already have immunity for their entire team.
Nicole’s hoping Black will win and give immunity to her, since Carrianne, her twin, is on Black and has “a lot of influence” apparently. Nicole tries to indicate to Carrianne that she’s going to try and throw it, so Black should go for it. Carrianne says she nodded to Nicole to indicate she’d be looked after if Black wins.
Nicole is the last Red outside the “alliance”, so she feels at risk.
Cosi’s concerned that Black might win, since Carrianne knows Nicole is the worst performer in the house so far, so she might be protected by Black.
JJ says this challenge will prove his worth to the Black Team, if he gives it a fair old crack.
Michael thinks Blue is a good chance to win, now they’ve got Sam back.
Alison paints “war paint” on Sam. With mud. Heh.
A couple of the others also have the warmud on.
Cosi says Red is struggling in round one, the mud is a lot more slippery than he thought.
Blue end up in a big twisted mess in the mud!
Cosi’s more worried about the Black Team in terms of strength, since they’re an unknown. He knows JJ’s fit but Bryce? Who knows!
Black are doing a footy scrum effort, packing down and pulling along.
Nicole “tripped over”, which she says was another dead weight to add to the pulling.
Black get closer and closer and eventually JJ yanks a flag, winning the first round for Black. Carrianne says it felt good to prove the Black Team is strong. Bring it on!
Nicole says her team was bummed, but she was actually cheering them on.
Black have to pick someone to sit out the next round so Michelle and Carrianne do paper/scissors/rock to decide. Carrianne loses and gets to sit out of the mud!
Michelle thinks Red and Blue have been a bit frightened off, hopefully.
Nicole is hoping Black win and give the immunity to her. Nicola, Garry and Cosi have an alliance and she thinks they’ll get rid of her if they can.
Round Two starts. The other teams are more making sure Black doesn’t win again.
The next gameplan for Red is to have Garry mostly crawl and pull themselves along.
Michael says he feels a lot more pressure from Red this time.
Michelle says Black decided to sort of sit it out and just make it hard for the other teams, just resisting being pulled, rather than trying to pull themselves along.
Michael yanks out a Blue flag finally. They’re happy, since they at least don’t look weaker than Red!
Blue punt Alison as Kirsten is much stronger.
Cosi’s disappointed Red lost the first two rounds.
Blue is getting yanked around a lot in the third round, lots of pressure from Black and Red.
Red still struggling to get to the flag, even with four members versus three for either of the other teams.
JJ starts freaking out a bit and is yanking on the rope really hard, which starts hurting Michelle. JJ says it’s getting them closer!
JJ says Michelle was getting angry about him being a bit aggressive, but Bob and Jillian used to get aggressive with them, so they should be used to it!
He starts yelling at Bryce to roll over, roll over, ROLL OVER!
“Go on then, JJ! You’re talking a lot, go!” – Michael
Nicole says she was putting pretty little effort into it at this point. She doesn’t think anyone on Red was aware of her trying to throw the challenge. Carrianne says she noticed though, she seemed to just be sitting on her arse most of the time.
Garry’s almost to the flag and he keeps grinding away. Finally grabs it up.
Red then have to discuss who’ll sit out. Nicola is eager to keep going, she says she has no injuries, but Nicole says Nicola is the lightest. Give her another shot, Nicole says.
“Obviously very important for me to stay in this if I’m going to keep sabotaging my own team.” – Nicole. So not out of context, she really is sabotaging her own team for her own selfish purposes.
Black win the fourth round, the first of the three-per-team rounds.
Bryce says if they win two more times, they win the challenge!
Michelle says she didn’t want to be out of the challenge, she thought maybe JJ should have been the one to sit out. But the girls go first.
Blue is determined to reach the flag first this time and they go at it hardcore right from the start, Black get jerked off their feet and Red don’t do much better. Blue grab the next round in 9 seconds, Nicole said. She’s happy!
Kirsten sits out next round. The boys are stronger in the legs, apparently.
Cosi says Red’s strategy was to tire the other teams down.
Michael’s thighs are fatigued.
Cosi’s holding Garry back a bit, telling him to take his time. Let them pull, let them pull, let the energy drain out of them.
Red edge closer and closer, Cosi is basically yanking Nicole along, making it hard for her to sabotage them this time.
One of the Reds has to sit out now and Nicole is the obvious choice.
She’s disappointed that she’s out and can’t sabotage her own team any further, but she’s hopeful Black can still win.
Teams are evened up again. Six blokes. A testosterone mud pool, Cosi says.
Sam is expecting it to be the hardest round, the other teams are supposed to have very fit, strong guys. Sam and Michael are pulling hard though. Michael says he’s having flashbacks to footy, especially when he and Sam put his arms on each other’s harnesses and pulled together. He’s looking forward to getting back on the footy field.
Nicola says Michael and Sam being best of friends worked so well together and they powered through to win the round!
Garry’s kind of embarassed, saying he thought he and Cosi should have won.
Sam and Michael decide to have Sam sit out. Michael’s a big lad and he has stronger legs, is an ex-footy player. Michael’s starting to imagine the glory of raising the flag high.
Next round starts and Black take off “like greased lightning”, Garry says. Garry and he fell over again.
JJ and Bryce reach their flags first and grab them virtually simultaneously.
JJ says it felt good, but was also a good way to bond closer with Black. He wants to show them he’ll be there for them.
They paper/scissors/rock to decide who’ll stay in.
Michelle is ecstatic that Bryce won. She says Bryce is a lot stronger, it’s a huge relief.
JJ had also hurt his hand and was getting tired anyway, so Bryce says he was probably the best choice.
Garry says he started to arc up and he knew he had to prove himself, he didn’t want to be the weak one in this competition.
Michael’s starting to bide his time and is going to wait for it to be one on one.
Garry says he wasn’t going to let the other guys pull two of them down so they anchored down and got the flag.
They decide to have Cosi sit out. Cosi asks Garry if he’s 100% sure. Nicola tries to convince Cosi he should stay in. Nicole says no, too late, he’s already unclipped himself.
Nicola says Cosi was doing so well, Garry was on the floor, Cosi was standing up. Fingers crossed, Cosi says.
Sudden death mode. Whoever grabs a flag first wins the challenge!
Next time we find out who the hell won. Boooooo!
And it’ll be weigh in time once again, the first for Black in the White House.
And the competition between Red and Blue will be the closest result yet! Or so Mr Voiceover Man assures us…
