Season 3, Episode 16: But I thought fat people were good at darts?
Previously on The Biggest Loser… Red finally won something!
A win during an impromptu tug of war match out on the lawn is still a win.
And Blue got their first training session with The Commando!
Also, Steven was very upset and contemplating leaving the game… FOREVER.
Tonight… Steven contemplates leaving the game… FOREVER.
Also, back at the White House, it’s Temptation day once again.
Will anyone give in to Temptation? Well, anyone other than those we see giving in to Temptation during the preview of the episode. Way to leave us in suspense, guys!
Would you like to know more?
Blue wake up after a long night in their swags in the bush.
Michael is already grousing in an aside, because he says he felt relief because he wouldn’t have to do anything else with “The Big Green Monster”, aka The Commando.
John thinks it’s brought the team back together a bit. Alison really loved the whole experience and can’t wait to get back and tell everyone what they’d done.
Shannan rocks up in the morning with Michelle to train his team. He searches every room in the house… “This is not good!”
Shannan says he needs to be with his team to ensure they continue to lose weight, win challenges and win weigh ins. It’s killing him not to be with them.
Then Blue rolls up the drive looking very much worse for wear.
Shannan asks them where they’ve been and Sam says they’d been to dinner with a special friend of theirs.
Shannan says they looked grubby and exhausted and for him that could only mean one thing – they’d been out training with The Commando.
Alison perkily explains what happened, Kirsten has a giggle. Michael is in the background dropping his bag on the floor in disgust. Harden the fuck up, son!
Alison giggles up the driveway that she could have kept going she was having so much fun!
Shannan is really pleased because a workout with the Commando would have to give his team a leg up when it comes to the weigh in.
Everyone files out of the White House and there’s two tables set up. One with sweet things like chocolates and other lollies, yogo. The middle table had pastries and breads and the end table had deep fried foods.
Debbie says it’s food that she used to eat and think had flavour (IT HAS A FLAVOUR!) but now she looks at it and thinks it’s digusting.
Expect her to participate at least once? Though I didn’t see any Mars Bars…
Damn some of that fried stuff looks good. Maybe I should have something for dinner…
There’s three boards with 24 balloons on each. Pop the right balloon and you win immunity. Eat a plate of food, throw the dart and pop a balloon and maybe you’ll get immunity.
Sheridan tells us the more calories the food is worth, the better your chances were.
The green balloons are only 50 calories. But only one of the twenty four balloons has an immunity card. Orange balloons, two balloons with immunity, but a whopping 500 calories.
The purple balloons, 4 immunity balloons.
One thousand calories. Wow.
But as an added incentive, there’s also some extra special prizes on offer!
Blue goes into a huddle and discusses strategy. Red already has immunity so Blue figure they’ve got to go for it to try and wrest control back.
John says he’ll definitely go for it because the more power Blue has, the worse Red will get.
Red thinks they have to play as well. Nicole says Red is feeling threatened, it’s important for one of them to go for it not just to have immunity but to have power over The Walk.
Kirsten, John, Sam and Alison step forward to have a crack for Blue.
Michael has another whinge, saying he doesn’t want to go for it. The Walk isn’t guaranteed and there’s options that could hurt you.
It’s 50 calories you wuss!
Sheridan decides not to play since she already has immunity. If nobody got immunity she’d keep it anyway.
Everyone else on Red decides to have a go, though. Alison is surprised considering how badly Red keeps getting thrashed!
To select throwing order they pick a dart out of a covered box. I hope they were point downwards!
John gets to go first. He’s decided to go hard early and gone straight to the one thousand calorie table, grabbed himself a big plate of onion rings. “Think of the heart, John!” – Cosi. Cosi says he couldn’t understand what John was thinking.
John went for it just for the better odds, not about him, about the strategy of the game. They need that immunity!
John’s feeling very nervous, doesn’t want to miss… Which he goes on to do. FOOL.
Cosi thinks it’s hilarious!
Garry’s up next. Nicola says they’d decided to just keep playing the Green board while there’s still food left on the table. Garry gets a cross behind his balloon.
Nicole misses the balloons altogether.
Sam gets a cross.
Kirsten just won a spiffy Navy diving watch. Looked very manly so it should suit her well.
Going into the ad break, Immunity is still on the cards!
Nicole says Temptation is a big gamble. You could get immunity and then go on The Walk and get something terrible.
Round 2, Debbie and Michael don’t step forward for Blue. Debbie says that she believes when it’s her time to leave it’s her turn to leave.
As they prepare for Round 2 it starts to rain. Cosi says they’re cold but of more concern was that the chips and pies were starting to get wet!
All of Red is still playing the green plates. Nicole misses altogether again. Cosi gets a cross. Garry gets a cross. No sign of Blue’s results.
Round 3. Cosi says there’s not many greens left and it might end up someone will have to go for 500 or 1000 calorie plates. We’ve missed another prize of some kind, looks like sunnies maybe? No idea who got them.
Alison says Red and Blue consumed a lot of calories and it got a bit out of hand. No one was really thinking in the end.
Round Who Knows. Sean says their strategy was to just keep going and shatter their morale. Cosi says much the same thing. If any of the Blues step forward, they would too.
John steps forward for a delicious looking meat pie. Sheridan doesn’t know what he’s doing, he’s supposed to be on 1,200 calories a day. John says they’re up to about 1,600. He says it was a damn good pie and he’d’ve gone for another 1,600 if he had to!
Michael says John likes to have control, he likes to be the Alpha male.
John throws his dart and just misses. It buries itself into the rubber around the balloon.
Cosi and Garry decide to go down in flames and go for the thousand calorie table.
Garry misses a balloon after downing a plate of scallops. He’s devastated. Blue team is all cracking up at him.
Cosi steps up and grabs himself some scallops as well.
The girls are shocked at the boys stepping up to the 1,000 calorie table.
Cosi says the scallops are divine, an out of body experience!
Cosi hits a balloon and wins a pair of sunglasses for himself. His lady will love him for that I guess!
Nicola says Michelle will be furious!
Michael steps up for a chance. He says it was as long as he could wait without getting a serve from John. He has a sausage roll but was really disappointed that he let John bully him into it.
Sam trundles up and polishes off a sausage roll. Sean is worried because if it goes for another round he’d have to step up.
Fifth and final round now Ajay claims. If nobody wins this round, Sheridan will walk away with immunity.
John, Kirsten and Sean step forward for Blue, Cosi and Garry step up again. Nicola says she thinks maybe the boys didn’t want Sheridan to have immunity anymore. Sheridan is also suspicious.
Sean steps up for his own meat pie.
He says he’s not happy about eating the pie but he’ll call it dinner. Sean wins himself a pair of sunnies as well.
Cosi’s next. He picks up a huge plate of potato chips from the 500 calorie table.
He knows Michelle is going to be cross with him for eating over 1,100 calories.
Cosi misses yet again!
Sheridan’s getting excited thinking she’d get immunity without having to eat a thing!
Nicola says she was disappointed John participated, he’s getting really competitive. She’s seeing a different side to him and she’s not sure she liked it.
John says he’s feeling pretty average after eating all that food. And his dart throw shows that – he misses.
John wonders how he’ll explain it all to Shannan.
Sam eats some nice looking cheese and bacon rolls. Mmmm, cheese and bacon rolls!
He throws his dart and wins a sweet looking Navman GPS navigator doohicky.
Garry’s up next, just Kirsten to go.
He decides to take a hit and eats a plateful of what looks to be KFC. Yum.
Nicola says she thought he was stupid for doing that. Nicole was extremely worried about him going for the thousand calorie table again.
Garry tosses his dart and hits… and has won immunity! He’s very excited. Jumping around like Richard Simmons, Cosi says!
2,150 calories he ended up eating. Crazy.
Sean says it was a big price to win immunity, but it was also a big price for Blue to not win it.
Garry will now get to go on The Walk tomorrow night.
And he has to make an “horrific choice” as a result, which will apparently rip the heart out of one of the teams. I didn’t know they were still filming Indiana Jones?
And tomorrow we will find out if Steven’s journey is going to come to an abrupt end. Maybe. I wouldn’t count on it though, they did tell us we’d find out tonight after all…
