Recap #65 – Thursday 19th April – The Last Last Chance Training, The Last White House Weigh-In, The Last Time Ajay Says That Stupid Line About Cutting The Fat?
Last Last Chance Training today!
Michelle says the trainers know this is the most important training session EVAR, it’s time for the contestants to get in there and fight. It’s time for them to show the trainers that they deserve the blackshirts they’re wearing. 12 weeks of work come down to this training session right now!
Who’ll fight? Who’ll win? Read on…
(Update: Finale is confirmed for next Thursday – 7.30pm to 9.30pm – check your local guides!)
Shannan has an aside very early on, saying they’re the fittest, strongest, most focused people… Apparently forgetting that one of them is there via starving himself, one is there after 3 chances back in the house and two are there due to alliances! Oops!
Michelle takes Marty off for some one on one time first, Shannan takes Chris first. They both want to give them all a workout to exhaustion.
Shannan got Chris to the point where he couldn’t possibly give any more in 5 different exercises.
Chris says Last Chance is everything to him, if he puts in all the effort he can and goes at it hard, it could make all the difference. This weigh-in could be as close as 50 grams.
Shannan says Chris put in big numbers every week and every week Shannan thinks he can’t possibly pull another big number and he keeps doing so.
Marty says if you don’t give everything it could be the difference between being eliminated and being part of the final three. He thinks he deserves to be in the final three because he’s been there since Day One – sure, he’s been eliminated, but he’s got back in each time via putting in the hard work needed to get another chance.
Michelle says that Marty is showing the brute guts of someone who absolutely wants it. She hops up on Marty’s back and Marty thinks that that’s probably about the weight he was when he first came into the house.
Marty remembers back on his first day in the house when he had to do 10 pushups, which he managed to do, but he couldn’t’ve done anymore than that. Now he’s carrying Michelle around, running, doing chinups, doing pushups with Michelle on his back.
Shannan takes Pati off next. Pati says the pressure is on, everyone wants to give everything they’ve got to get an edge over the person next to them. Shannan says Pati’s strength is her consistent weightloss. She’s never done a big number but she’s never done a bad number either. But to win, she’s going to have to now do something exceptional.
Pati says Michelle has been an important part of her time there. Michelle says that Pati won’t give up, she’ll fight till she’s blue in the face.
Shannan takes scarystare Munnalita, has her doing weights on a bench, lifting them up in front of her face, and the look on her face. Yeah, scarystare!
Shannan says what he saw in Munnalita today was indicative of her whole journey. She’s been brave and had penalties but has come back from that and lost 9kg. He thinks she’s tough and focused and ready to go on.
Shannan asks her if there’s any sort of training she’s never done but she’d like to have a go at… Munnalita giggles and says she’s always wanted to punch someone. Shannan has an aside here where he laughs and says that it’s obviously going to have to be him, isn’t it?
So they do some light sparring and Shannan says the punches were coming so hard and so fast he feels sorry for her husband if he ever gets on the wrong side of her!
Munnalita says the final weigh-in is about everything, she’s worked so hard since she’s been there. And she really wants to win, for the glory of winning. Because she still doesn’t understand that the point is to lose weight!
After training they have a bit of a stretch and a chat. Shannan says it was great to have a training session with everyone in the same gym.
Munnalita says a big thankyou to Michelle for everything they’d done for her.
Marty says words can’t explain, they’ve changed his life, they’ve given him life.
Chris says a lot of the journey has been in the last couple of weeks, especially the mental parts.
Pati says she’s trying not to cry, because there’s no crying in the gym! She has a bit of trouble putting it into words, but she just wanted to thank Michelle for not letting Pati give up on herself.
Shannan says one of them will be eliminated but it doesn’t matter which one it is, they should stand tall and be proud of everything they’ve achieved.
Hugs and kisses all round and final thankyous, before they head off for the weigh-in.
Pati and Munnalita both say it’s kind of sad to be having their final weigh-in in the House, but Munnalita also says it’s a good thing to be leaving at last.
Munnalita thinks it’s going to be a very close weigh-in because everyone is very determined and has been working hard.
Ajay takes a look at their weightloss and progress since Day One.
Pati is asked if, when she walked into the house, she thought she’d get so far. Pati says no, she didn’t think so, because she didn’t realise what she was capable of back then.
Marty says it feels fantastic to have come so far. He says before coming to the house, he couldn’t fit on a rollercoaster, so he had to come to the house to go on a rollercoaster ride, he’s worked hard, he’s played with integrity, so he feels privileged to be there and would be honoured to be part of the final three.
Ajay says Munnalita’s personal transformation has been, more than anyone else, unbelievable. Pffft. Munnalita says it feels fantastic to be where she is now, she always felt like she had it in her to do this, but she never knew how to find that motivation, but she’s found it at the moment. Ajay says words like “awe inspiring” and called her an inspiration to women everywhere, etc, etc. Line?
Chris says he didn’t think he’d make it beyond a week or two, he always planned to just work as hard as he could and see what happened. Ajay says it’s a truly amazing achievement, how much he’s lost.
Rank. Name: Starting Weight – Weight Lost – Percentage
1. Chris: 149.5kg – 56.4kg – 37.73%
2. Munnalita: 127.3kg – 40.7kg – 31.97%
3. Marty: 160.6kg – 50.7kg – 31.57%
4. Pati: 120.2kg – 34.8kg – 28.95%
Marty’s the unlucky bunny who has to go first. He’s hoping and praying that he’s done enough work. He’s figuring on needing between 4 and 5kg to stand a chance.
Week 11: 105kg – LOSS: 4.9kg
“You bloody beauty!” He seems quite happy with that, he’s thinking it should be enough to stay above the yellow line.
Chris is a bit worried because he thinks that’s definitely going to be a good result.
Marty’s still up on the scales beaming… Cue shot of Munnalita looking horrified.
Marty’s Percentage: -4.46%
Pati goes second. She thinks the worst case scenario is that her and Munnalita will be below the yellow line together. I think that’s probably one of the better case scenarios! Either way the viewers win! Munnalita is hoping Pati’s lost 2-2.5kg
Week 11: 84.8kg – LOSS 0.6kg
She doesn’t look very pleased, Munnalita does though! Though she says in an aside that she did feel upset for her. Chris’ first thought was poor Pati, because she’s worked so hard.
Pati’s Percentage: -0.7%
Chris gets to go next, he’ll need at least 4.2kg to guarantee himself a spot in the finals. If he goes below the yellow line, is he going home? Chris says it’s pretty much guaranteed. Kinda rooting for him to lose slightly less than Marty, by like 0.01% or something… We get a shot of Chris here from Day One… The difference in him is absolutely astounding.
Week 11: 89.9kg – LOSS: 3.2kg
As Ajay announces the number, Marty’s fists go in the air as it hits home that he’s definitely in the final three!
Munnalita turns around to grin up at Marty and says to him that she just wants to give him a hug. They hug and then Marty grins down and says, “Kick his arse!” I think it’s pretty clear Chris is doomed if that happens, since it would be Marty and Munnalita voting!
Chris’ Percentage: -3.44%
This forces Pati below the yellow line with no chance at redemption so she is definitely facing elimination.
Munnalita will need to lose at least 3kg to rise above the yellow line. Chris is pretty sure she’ll’ve lost that much.
Marty says it would disappoint him to see Chris in the final three because Chris was essentially offered a free pass and if Chris had been there since Day One there’s no way he’d still be there.
Munnalita steps up. She can hardly look at the numbers. They bounce around the most I’ve ever seen, as low as low 60’s and up well above 100 a couple of times. Silly!
Week 11: 85kg – LOSS: 1.6kg
Pati and Munnalita are both below the line! Let the partying begin!
“Well that’s very disappointing.” – Munnalita
Ajay asks her how she’s feeling and Munnalita says she’s just really disappointed because she would’ve liked to have been in the final three. She also asks if Munnalita will ever put the weight back on and Munnalita says definitely not, it’s been so hard to remove it, not just the weight but the emotions that go with it, that’s been the hardest part of the journey. She doesn’t want to go back to that, she feels really good where she’s at now.
Munnalita says if she doesn’t make it into the final three she’s going to start straightaway trying to have kids, because that’s what she came there for after all… Yet if she’s part of the final three, she’s not going to start. Um?
Munnalita’s Percentage: 1.85%
That puts Munnalita in third and Pati in fourth. Should there be a split vote, Pati will be going home, so I hope Marty and Chris do the smart thing and vote for Munnalita! Pati is no threat, Munnalita is second in the game! And she’ll go home and have her babies she wants so badly. IT’S A NO BRAINER GUYS.
Munnalita, sitting on the couch in the lounge room, realises that there’s a huge chance she’d be going home. She doesn’t want to push Pati out to keep herself in.
Pati says whatever happens from now, she’s proud of Munnalita, Munnalita is proud of her, and they’re proud of themselves for coming so far. Because it doesn’t matter who you trample, just who wins in the end, huh Pati? Why can’t you both be voted off?!
Marty and Pati have a chat first. Pati’s not going to try and vie for a spot against Munnalita. She doesn’t feel comfortable doing that against Munnalita. Marty has an aside here to point out that both Pati and Munnalita have betrayed him. He says that Pati is made out to be the villain… “Well, she is. She made an alliance with me and then crossed me.” Even before going into the weigh-in room he’d decided who was going to be going in his opinion.
Chris and Munnalita have a chat, Chris says it’s not even about who’s a threat anymore, it’s about who can go the distance, who has the potential to finish strong. Chris doesn’t have much more weight to go, he doesn’t want Marty to have an easy victory. So he lays it out to Munnalita that he wants to try and decide which of the two has the better chance of winning over Marty.
Ahhh, but Chris is actually just baiting her, to see what her intentions are, how far she’s willing to go, etc.
Munnalita says if she’s in the final, there’ll be nothing that’ll stop her. She says sometimes people say that, but she knows she can do it. She can win.
Chris says it showed her character more and, well, she’s willing to do whatever it takes and that’s not good for him!
Munnalita and Pati have a chat. Pati says in an aside that if she does go home tonight, she definitely wants Munnalita to win.
Pati says The Biggest Loser is the only thing in her life she’s ever put all her effort into.
As the Fatties head down to the elimination room we see an outside shot of the white house… with an ominous lightning flash and thunder rolling over. Ooooooh!
Ajay talks big about the table, as usual. Tells Munnalita and Pati that one of them will be going home, one of them will be competing for the big prize. Tells the boys that the fate of the other two is in their hands. Etc. Thanks, Ajay, we already know all this…
Chris says he’d come in with a strategic goal in mind but he realised that playing the game like that just wasn’t going to work. He wasn’t very good at it so he changed tack and worked hard and got a lot more enjoyment out of the game after that.
Ajay points out to Marty that Munnalita and Pati have both voted him out in the past, so how sweet is revenge? Marty says that most people know he’s not really about revenge, they were playing the game and did what they had to do. He takes his hat off to them. It’s a hard thing to vote one of them out because they were also his teammates for a long time.
Pati is asked if she thinks her lower weightloss this week will make her seem less of a threat, but Pati isn’t sure, because they both know how hard she works in training and how determined she is. She’s also asked if she thinks she deserves to be in the final three, which she says is hard, because it’s hard to say she deserves it over Munnalita.
Ajay asks Munnalita how nervous she is and Munnalita says it’s a close thing because they’re both around the same amount of weight lost overall. But it doesn’t matter which one, whichever one they keep in is going to come straight after them, so they’re not safe either way.
“Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time to cut the fat…” – Ajay
Next time on The Biggest Loser we get to see the f’ing vote! Arg!
And we see the final three returning home and beginning the final stretch of training in an effort to be The Biggest Loser.
