Recap #46 – Wednesday 28th March – The Yummiest Checkers Match Ever!

Yay! Bob and Jillian arrive at the house again!
The contestants are all working out before they get there. Jillian says they’re all in a lot better shape now so the asskickings are going to have to be a bit more severe!

But what’s in this week’s Temptation and will anyone still be tempted this late in the game?

Bob takes Damien, Chris and Kimberlie outside for training. Chris loves outside training, so he’s happy!
Jillian has a specific plan for this week to try and get everyone kicked out of their “plateau period”. Munnalita is adamant that her no loss week is a plateau period thing, not a lazy week thing.
Jillian says the key is to change things up, shock the system. She goes on to say, “It’s really important that I see the contestants in pain. Not just because I’m a sadist, although that is a factor! But mostly because if they’re not in pain then I’m not working their muscles to their maximum potential.”
She says that this is really the hardest part of the game in her opinion, when they’re halfway but still have a long way to go.

Bob takes his people to “The Hill” again, telling Damien it’s his old friend. Kim is kind of scared at how steep it is.
Kim keeps getting to the top and hoping Bob would say it’s enough, but it never is!
Bob was really excited to get Damien out on the hill again because the first time they did it he had to stop 4 or 5 times, but this time Damien manages to go from the bottom to the top without resting partway.
Bob times one of Damien’s runs at 1min 45secs. Then he tries to get Damien to beat that time. The second run he goes up the hill in 1min 15secs! Bob is talking to him and congratulating and all Damien can do is pant heavily.
Bob times Chris next with his first run being 1min 35secs, which Bob says is a really good time. Second run is 51secs!
Bob says Chris is a very fit man and very competitive.
Chris thinks that from a physical point of view, he can take them all. As far as the game goes, he’s going to let the others knock each other out!

Jillian has a chat with everyone about Temptation.
Marty says he didn’t want to go for immunity before, but since having come back into the game he’s much more tempted. But he’s not going to go crazy, just dabble.
Jillian’s telling them all that while weigh-in is a couple of days away, it could be dangerous to be messing around with the kinds of food offered at Temptation.
Chris says that if they ever had immunity offered he’d give it a go, he’s going to go hell for leather and pay for it later if he has to. Uh-oh!

Bob sits Chris down outside to chat about his numbers during the time he was training with the Commando, which they previously hadn’t known.
Losses:
Week 1: 8kg
Week 2: 4.24kg
Week 3: 9.26kg
Week 4: ? We don’t see the rest, unfortunately.
Bob asks him how he got to be so big, is anyone in his family that heavy? Chris says his Dad has had a gut for pretty much as long as he can remember. Bob is really impressed with Chris taking control of his life at just 23, he thinks it’s very commendable.

Bob then takes Kim aside as well.
Losses:
Week 1: 7.24kg (She’s shocked and really happy about that number)
Week 2: 2.26kg
Week 3: 1.04kg (I went to Fiji that week!)
Week 4: ? Again, don’t see the rest.
Bob also asks Kim how she got to be so big and was she always overweight? Kim says she was born 10 pounds and has been overweight ever since.
Apparently her parents used to sit her down every couple of months and chat to her about her weight. Telling her she’d be so pretty if she lost weight and would be healthier and so on.
Bob thinks that parents need to practice what they preach – have healthy foods in the house, for starters.
Kim doesn’t blame her parents for the way she turned out but she wants to ensure her kids don’t go down the same path.

They have big blackout curtains around the area for Temptation and as soon as Marty opens the curtain he could smell chocolate!
Munnalita says, rather excitedly, “Ohhhhhhh! They’re chocolate!”
Courtney replies fairly blandly, “Are they?” You could hear the “meh!” in his voice. Well done!

Poor Ajay is standing out in the middle of a checkerboard floor with dark chocolates sitting on upturned shotglasses covering scraps of paper on the white squares, the reverse on the black squares. Can I have all the leftovers from the black squares please?
Kim says that it smelled so sweet and that it was Heaven. “Maybe that’s what Heaven is like?”
Munnalita then has her whine about how it was her wildest dreams come true? But also her worst nightmare? She’s looking forward to it? But she wasn’t at the same time?

The gamble is a 1 in 20 chance at immunity, though there seems to be a lot more than 20 chocolates on the floor.
When Chris finds out that immunity is on the cards he would have gone around and eaten them all if he could!

In front of the Fatties are ONE THOUSAND white and brown truffle chocolates. Underneath 50 of the 148 calorie treats lies immunity.
Courtney doesn’t believe they’re really 148 calories because they’re super tiny! Kim says she could have a whole meal for that many calories, she could have a chicken breast and some salad! “It’s disgusting!”
Munnalita wants to eat them all. She knows she’s supposed to be dealing with her problems and so on but she hasn’t had any chocolate for ages, not since she had the Mars bars in another Temptation. “I just wanted to have a taste again! I may not get chocolate again for a month!” Yeah, and then you might actually lose some weight you fat idiot!
Marty figures he can have 4 or 5 at the most and burn it off fairly easy.
Chris says he wouldn’t’ve cared if it was 300 calories a pop, he’s young and able to burn calories easily so he would’ve done it anyway.

The way this works is that the first contestant to pick up a chocolate, eat it and find the letter “I” on a paper disk inside the glass will walk out safe for another week. It’s the individual contestants choice when they eat, or if they eat at all. But only one person can walk away with immunity.

The game starts… now!
Damien immediately leans over and grabs the one right in front of him, ha! He says that he figured if there’s 50 immunities they’re probably going to be spread out quite a bit, so the two in front of him were as good a choice as any.
Pretty much everyone has one picked out right away and heads for it, so it looks like everyone is participating.
Pati thinks the chocolates are talking to her… apparently not telling her not to eat them, as you might expect a sentient being to do. She takes her time eating it, she wants to enjoy it, even though she was tempted to swallow it whole.

Marty is walking towards the one he wants when his foot accidentally knocks one off its glass. So he takes that as a sign and eats that one. He checks under the cup and… he’s got it! Ha! Freaky as all hell! First cup and it wasn’t even the one he wanted!
He says he looked around at the others and they all seemed to mostly be happy that at least Chris hasn’t got it. And Chris is fuming.
And Marty has won, but does Munnalita stop eating the chocolate? Hell no. Keeps stuffing her face like an idiot. She says everyone else was disappointed because everyone wanted 2 or 3 chocolates. No, most of them were just happy to eat 2 or 3 for a chance at immunity! Pati was disappointed though as she would have liked to have more. Not sure why she couldn’t just have another if she wanted, what’re they going to do, force her to puke it back up?

Marty is stoked because he managed to grab immunity for just 148 calories.
Courtney’s not too fussed because he figured Marty would’ve been above the yellow line anyway, he was just happy that Chris didn’t have it!
Chris seems to think the others aren’t fussed, so long as they can get rid of either himself or Marty, they’re not picky about which one. Don’t think he realises how badly he’s rubbing everyone up the wrong way just yet…

Tomorrow night on The Biggest Loser, Jillian has her “Real” shirt on. Hurrah!
Oh and something about climbing 1,300 stairs with a reminder of how far they’ve come up the top. Presumably their fat pose life size posters but we don’t see. All we know is that Jillian says, “Shocking!”
