“Biggest winners in love” – Lamest headline ever?
From today’s Sydney Confidential comes confirmation that the “friendship” between Kelly and Michael was indeed a bit more. (And thanks, miss_doobie, for reminding me I had to post this!)
REVENGE may be sweet, but boasting about a new romance has proved an even better dish to serve an ex-husband for a Sydney fat fighter on The Biggest Loser.

Kelly Donagher Lewis was humiliated into entering the weight watching reality show, after her marriage ended amid claims she was left for a slimmer woman.
At the start of the Channel 10 series, the Sydney police officer alleged her husband of three years, Sean, had been cheating on her, blaming her own weight as the reason he turned off her and took up with a “Paris Hilton-lookalike”.
Sean firmly denied he cheated on Kelly.
Despite being booted from the fat farm after just two weeks, a 25kg lighter Lewis has found love with Michael, a fight-fighting fellow contestant from Adelaide.
The relationship is in its early stages, Lewis told Confidential, but admitted she had been interstate to see her new man.
“He’s very coy about it all, but we’ve spent a bit of time together,” she said.
While the rules forbid fraternisation before the final weigh in, network executives have apparently been flexible on this matter of the heart.
The show’s host Ajay Rochester, in Melbourne for the Grand Prix, revealed Lewis had confided to her that Michael “was good with her kids” and the relationship was a serious one.
Although Lewis’ ex-husband was reluctant to get into a public slanging much over his wife’s claims of an affair when she hit the small screen, she told Confidential he was now “extremely supportive” of her weight loss and budding romance.
There’s another mention in a Herald Sun article as well, though it seems to be much the same information in a much more concise form. Herald Sun even has the same picture of the pair, though the full story for that picture seems to be broken.
Much as I didn’t care for either of these people, I think it’s great they’ve hit it off so well and hopefully they’ll both be able to drive themselves to live more healthily in the future.
